Beastmasters look fixed pose, so guessing metal.

Looks like a single pose metal, with skulls on the board, one bird per base (odd) and a customizable chimera (or two).

I'm curious how the Razorwings will look, since they're one of those things that's really hard to realize in metal, and so far, all of GW's flying swarms have been stupid-looking (well, that's to say, their bat swarms)

Looks more like 4 birds to a base to me (the models are so close together they gotta be on the same one)

It looks like 2 to 4 flying sticks with a bird or two each. Maybe 2 or more sticks per base?

The way it looks I wouldn't doubt the idea that it's a long biker base with 4 peg holes in it. They look to be single file in varying height.

I'm more amused by the fact they are fighting Iyanden, which I'm putting together this week to face Aurelia's Dark Eldar.

I wonder how they'll be packaged. If the Beast Masters are that single pose metal fig, and come separate from the beasts they lead, how many people will ignore them and just buy a box of Helions?

I'm guessing Direct Only or some packaging that makes as little sense as possible and makes getting good-sized units incredibly tedious (1 beastmaster and 3 khymerae, or 1 bm and 1 razorwing base)

Back on-topic, methinks I see some tentacles/tails at the bottom of the pic, and maybe the top of a quadraped beastie... Khymerae perhaps?

And single-bird is a good idea, much better than a bulky blob of birds. This bodes well. Can't wait to see the detail.

Well the army only has one Wraithlord, and no Guard yet (waiting till they go plastic - hopefully.)

It's themed around Yriel, so its mostly Eldritch Raiders, with some Iyanden support.

Ehem... on-topic... the Beastmasters look like they might be dashing my hopes of 'no heavilly converted/sculpted models' in my army but final judgement for me will have to be made upon seeing better pictures. I do like the razorwing flock but I'm not sure I'd use them.... I'm more of 'Clawed fiend' type of girl.

I guess a lot of people sent emails to GW wishing for more things on their AWESOME flying bases
