I was on what's new today, and noticed that in the background of the army profiles, you can see the phantom titan and one of it's weapons in resin.

Looks quite nice to me

It looks awesome the cannon on the right looks like a D-cannon or a starcannon thing.

Yeah, it isn't pigeon toed at all.

It does, however, lack the correct amount of toes, but maybe they're going "Revenant" style with it?

I think that's more than likely. FW has always striven for a more unified aesthetic with everything they make. Compared the Epic Hierophant to a Hive Tyrant, for example, and then do the same with the FW versions.

That is gonna be one hell of a tall model.

I think that makes sense. The Phantom is the Eldars' equivalent to a Reaver or a Great Gargant, by their standards it's a lumbering monstrosity, thought still probably outpaces its equivalents. Revenants have, I believe, always been the most light and agile vehicles in the titan class, a fact their current rules reflect rather well

it might turn out to be posable or something but on a model that big if you make it look like it's running, it'll probably fall over real easy. I'd rather see it stand up straight if it means not watching $800 fall and shatter on the floor.

The Epic Revenants are pretty static in poses too, so I wouldnt be surprised if this draws on that to a degree. As for the weapon, it looks like a gigantic fusion gun to me =/

Hmmm...wonder if they'll be suitable to fit onto my Armorcast Phantom? They look about the right size...would just be the attachments. to work out..

it's possible, though if you look on ebay long enough you'll find the D cannon and sonic lance floating about for the old armorcast phantom

Unless you make a huge oval base for it packed with plaster and drill a HUGE hole on its leg and insert the biggest strongest rod you can get your hands on... the sound of Phantom titan still gives me shivers down my spine...

I always thought that the Phantom was the Eldar equivalent of the Imperium's Warlord titan?

Yeah, I noticed these when those pics went up.

A closer look now at the one on the left - it is far less detailed. It looks like a scaled up Epic, or maybe an Armorcast? The one on the right looks like a development of it.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

I think the one on the left was the first cast that they then used to put details on and play about with

What...?!?

I think it is still around - rare because it needs Eldar twins in order to run it!

It had BETTER still be around - it is my favorite Eldar Titan, for whatever that's worth!

Nothing to back that up, I just can't remember hearing it mentioned in any fluff whatsoever since the 90's. I hope not, I also hope they do something a little different with it than just a phantom headswap if it ever see's the light of day again!

It is still available as an Epic model:

I own the old non-official Warlock Titan head for the Armorcast model, waiting for some decent titan to put it on. Even when I am not a fan of the general Eldar Titan design.
