HQ- Warboss (60) w/ big choppa BP and attack squig 'eavy armour 90pts

Troops- 20 Slugga Boyz (120) w/ 2x rokkits and nob with PK BP 180pts
11 Slugga Boyz (66) w/ nob with PK BP 106pts
Trukk (35) w/ red paint job 40pts

Elites- 5 Lootas (75) 75pts

Total - 491pts

An army should be fish or fowl, either mount them all in trukks/wagons or have them all on foot. Splitting it makes it weaker because your enemy can defeat first one then the other in detail.

however i thought that if i used the trukk as a fast assault unit in smaller games there is a lack of heavy weapons meaning the footsloggers possibly survive longer and the trukk too, just a thought
how would you change the list?

Do you mean warboss? and is this at 500 yeah?
So that'll mean less boyz?
And with the lootas box how do you make 5 without making a mek?

This may be good or bad advise, I'm newer to the game. but maybe a reinforced ram for the trukk (just so you don't get bad after you disembark from it, and it's a cheap upgrade which won't put you over 500)

Thats re-roll dangerous terrain, not too sure about that personally, but it might come in useful

Well you kinda have to make your own deffgun for the 5th one. Try using the big shoota and just put another one top of it nicely. Get used to using lots of bits with orks too you'll have to convert a lot of models. good luck man

Yeah, boss not nob (although the nob can have one too). I think they'll make their points back pretty well if you can get them stuck in quick enough.

I find in smaller games (<500pts) orks excel by simply outnumbering the enemy. IMHO you should ditch the trukk and slugga nob, spend the points on more boyz and stick the warboss in the slugga mob.

Think about it, marines can't put more than about 20 models on the field at 500pts, you on the other hand can put about 60 on average (and I have done this), the more models you have, the less time they have to kill you before you hit them!

Here is what i would field in 500p

Big Mek - 115 points
Big Mek, kustom force field, power klaw, bosspole.

Lootas - 75 points
5 Lootas.

Ork Boyz - 180 points
20 Boyz, Nob, Power klaw, bosspole, 2 rokkit launcha.

Ork Boyz - 130 points
20 Shootas, 2 big shoota.

A focused list will generally win against an unfocused list. If you split yourself up, expect each chunk to die alone.
