If I want to field an inquisitor and retinue and wanted a sage and or mystic in there, what models do I use? I can't find them anywhere on the GW site so I assume they don't sell them but how much leeway do I get when using a 'counts as' model?

Looking at the witch hunters stuff, I could use some of their retinue models to port over to daemonhunters, like the crusader which I could use as the warrior henchman but which models are best used for things like the sage or mystic? If I need to represent weapons/gear on a model is the only way to do it to convert something or buy a horribly overpriced model from some website somewhere?

Don't bother. In a couple of months you won't be able to take allied Sages and Mystics anyway.

However like HBMC said, wait till the new codex comes out. Either Mystics and Sages will be written out completely, or get new, cheaper plastic models.

Heh, thanks for the replies although, since I posted this, the GK rumour now is that they won't be available for quite some time.

Do I stick or twist? Think I'll wait for another month or so and if GK seem no closer to the new codex, then I guess I'll invest in some of the current model lines.

The models are likely to change but the current ones look awesome so go for it.
If they are allied daemonhunters for a guard army, avoid it until later.
