Well, after playing quite a bit with the epic version of Magnus, I decided to paint up the non-epic version. The color scheme for the force features a number of closely related blues, and a generous amount of battle damage and hazard stripes.

Nice to see another member of the true blues.

I like the weathering and dirty cape. And the hair is bouncy and shiny too, something I haven't been able to accomplish.

Hm... from your choice of words, I think he could be modeling pantine pro-V or something.

I think the trick to hair is in the blending with the extreme highlights. A long time ago, I learned this method to highlighting black hair with extreme highlights to show the shine, and eventually I realized that all hair can be shiny in the same way.
