Okay so i've decided to create a P&M blog of my Blood Angels army to get the thumbs out of my and get this (approx) 4000pts army fully painted by the end of this year.
The reason to this you might ask? Well me and my buddy made new year resolutions after a couple of beers and a bottle of champagne, and i just decided then and there in the drunken haze that i would paint my BA army.
What's the deal with that you might wonder? I've never finished an army... ever! Although ive been in the hobby for 4 years, and my Warriors of Chaos that i started out with isn't even remotely finished, neither was my Tau, High Elves, Dark Eldar, Witch Hunters or Daemonhunters either!

But now i have made a promise and decided to start this blog out just to get some inspiration and possibly some critique as how to become a better painter.

In this blog you will find the following:
-Blood Angels (obviously).
-Crappy pictures until i figure out how to snap better photos.
-Models that have been refurbished.

In this blog you will NOT find the following:
-Other projects.
-Golden Daemon winners.
-A speedy painter.

So let's get on with it.

First up is 5 out 10 Assault Marines. These ones as you can see where made from old Tactical Marines that i got from a friend.
They had probably been sprayed atleast twice and painted with a THICK layer of paint when i got them.

Next up is the Godhammer Landraider. Oh boy was this one a mess when i got it! No side hatches, sprayed with 20 cans of black pri... spray of the cheap kind and glued together with whatever was in the garage.
Didnt really bother with it so i slapped on a couple of FW doors and called it a day. (Not finished with the paintjob yet though)

Last but not least is the Sanguinary Guard. My first real attempt at painting entire models with gold and what can i say? It was a pain for an impatient painter as myself as you really need to keep the gold very thin to avoid getting brushstrokes... to bad i learned that lesson when they were done.

So there you have it, the ball is now in motion and there is no turning back. I will upload more images as i get done with some more models.

Until then, Have a good one!

They look awesome, but the red on the Raider looks a bit flat.

Thank you!
Well i have all the special characters, about 20 jump pack assault marines, 10 assault marines without jump packs, 5 home made vanguard vets, 2 razorbacks, 4 drop pods, 6 or 7 dreads, a LR Redeemer, 2 landspeeders, 10 deathcompany and some scouts.
Yea i have some touching up to do on the LR and then some highlights.

Hehe, well i aint fishing thats for sure, but you could say that my self esteem hit rock bottom a loong time ago :(
And i think the models look decent for the tabletop but otherwise i feel they look mediocre :/

Alright! Time for a small update, been busy with work, sports and whatnot so not much has been done unfortunately.

All i have managed is to take a beat up old Rhino and transformed it into a Razorback with interchangeable weapons.
Still alot of stuff to touch up on it but you get the idea.

TL Lascannons

TL Heavy bolters

Lascannon and TL Plasmaguns (Magnetized)

The Lasplas looks abit goofy but it fills its purpose

Have a good one!

I think your work looks really good. Have you tried priming with a brown? That allows for better coverage for the red. I used a Krylon Camo Brown for my blood angels and it worked out really well.

No i haven't, sounds like it could work.

These models are all primed with Armypainter's Dragon Red, but i think it turned out too dark so i ended up building it up to blood red anyway. Gonna try white next and if that doesn't pan out ill definately try brown!

Thanks for the tip!
