Ive been mulling overthis idea for a few days now and i thought i would put it out to see if there is interest.

I have seen this idea done elsewhere and it has worked well. Basicaly my idea is that we paint up an army between however many members are interested and then sell it on and all profit goes to a charity. My thinking was that wed cover costs of models and shipping to me (im based in the UK) and any profit after that goes to charity. If people wish to donate the models that is fine as well. I will handle all the listing on Ebay and here, i will also co ordinate payments and reimbursing people. To keep it simple for reimbursment i would ask people keep their recepits and email me a scan of them when the time comes so there is no argument over cost.

Personaly my first choice of charity seems rather apropriate as this is wargaming and we should never forget there are guys and girls out there doing it for real putting their lifes on the line. My nominaton would be Help for Heros, if you have not herd of them have a look here:
http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/

I am open to other suggestions if the general consensus is against that charity.

As for what army i have two in mind (well 3) but again we can vote on this. Ive tried to pick armies that would allow everyone to paint their models in their ways and colours and it not look horrible. So my choices would either to do Bretonians or a Good and Evil LOTR/WOTR force. Personaly im favouring the LOTR/WOTR force as it would allow alot of flexibility in models and paint schemes.

At the moment i dont have a minimum number of models per person in mind, if someone only wants to paint 2 models thats fine by me and if someone wants to paint 200 then great.

I will ask that people post regular updates here with photos where possible and i will start a blog so people can follow that to. Potentialy if there is enough interest i could run this again with other armies.

So if you would be interested or just have more questions or anything else please post away.

That is a fair point of how do you know it will and like everything online its something you will just have to take my word for. Full links to the auctions will be posted and i would hope people would spread the word as its for a good cause.

I dont know what else i can do, if people have suggestions please tell me.

Ah what the heck. I've not ever painted any LotR stuff, so it will be interesting to give it a go.
