I want to make Krom Dragongaze as my wolf lord. How should I equip him?

It doesn't say what his specialities are... not a Thunder Wolf.
Give him a frost blade, runic armour, wolf tooth necklace and a plasma pistol... and a belt of russ. Maybe saga of the bear.

That was pretty much what I had in mind. But are you sure on the plasma pistol? I'm always afraid of the Gets Hot! rule.
I lost my pocket rulebook from AoBR, but when it overheats, aren't no saves allowed?

You get a save from it. Dunno why people are sared of plasma pistols so much. They are basically a b**ch slap for a vehicle but in pistol form.

Can inv. saves be taken against it? If so, I like plasma pistols.
I'm just afraid of giving them to normal troops who overheat it then insta-die.

They get a normal armour/invun save like they had been shot by a lasgun, it just autowounds iirc.

Oh, that makes sense. While you're here, have any tips on what to deck out a wolf guard pack for him to lead with? (as his 'specialty' is tons of wolf guard)

Don't bother with frost weapons.
Have a mix of power fists and power weapons and some storm shields. Lightning claws if you want.
The power fists let you hit big things like tanks and Mcs while the power weapons will let oyu handle elite fellows like terminators or incubi and the storm shield will let you take any power weapon hits on them.

Yes or no for thunder hammers?

I can't rememeber how much they cost but if it's the same as a power fist you may as well take it if it's more don't bother.

Thunder hammer is 25pts
Pfist is 20

Go for power fist unless you want the thunder hammer for some reason.

The extra 5 points for the thunderhammer means if you hit something big its knocked down to Ini 1 or if its a vehiccle its shaken if survives the hits. so 5 points causes the target some annoyance, especialyl fi you knock a trygon to ini 1 and your power weapon guys are still alive to now strike before it next round of combat.
