These are my custom thunderwolves i would like to sell them and i would like to see what you all think they are worth
they cost me about 35$$ to make
fyi these pics do not do these models justice they look a bit messy in the pics but that is because closeup photography is unforgiving but they look great on the table.
sorry for pic quality
could not attach pics so here is the link to my gallery

I'm not sure. I'd bulk 'em out a bit. They look too small.

Well, there are already a lot of professional stand-in models by other companies.
And the non-professional painting, assembly (mix of weird bases) and toppling riders don't help much in presenting your alternative.

With that paint job, maybe 10 bucks a model.

Without that paint job, well, just the base cost of the models used to make it.

I think its admirable of you to try, but I look at GW prices and can't help but think that the price usually fluctuates based on the points value in the game, not the cost to make it.

10 plastic space marine figs costs as much as 20 ork boyz for instance.

If it costs you 35 bucks just for materiels, not to mention time and talent, you will have to have something really really awesome to present to the few interested connoiseurs with the money to splurge like that. Old WFB plastic gobbo wolves work for lots of people, LotR Wargs, and probably will continue to do so if the alternative is $50 Canis Wolfborn kit just leave out Canis, or Trianoc Chariot Lions for $50 a pair. Pretty hard to compete with that kind of pricing if each one costs you $35 just in materials.

This is hardly a money-making scheme, so why not just keep them to yourself and have the awesome home-made unique figs? If you just love modelling stuff and don't care about selling for profit then put em up for cost of materiels plus cost of a beer/coffee for being cool enough to make one for someone

still no price recommendations!!??

Well $35 buck for 5 wolves isn't bad.

To be frank I think you should just strip the paint off it you really want to try to sell them. That way the buyer can paint them to match their army colors. Putting them all on appropriate sized bases, or just selling them without bases would be better that the way their based now.

I like the look of the model, but I'd like to see it without the paint and with better photos. Maybe look up a tutorial for you camera for close up detail photography.

Price-wise IDK, $12-15 might work. Paulson Games wolves are only $20 (+ shipping), and they pretty nice.

If you're planning on making more and selling them, make sure you don't call them "Thunder Wolves".

So you want to sell Vampire Counts Dire Wolves with Space Marines haphazardly glued on then poorly painted? You're not going to get much for these. People generally buy models so they can strip them unless they're well painted, and your paintjobs are very, very sloppy. The bases all being different sizes doesn't help.

Given the internet tournament army build that has become every SW standard, I am surprised GW has not started pimping out a set of plastic wolves yet.

The thing is, you shouldn't pop something like this up on the internet and ask for opinions about it unless you're willing to hear the negative opinions along with the positive. The truth is, those photos make it hard to see what the models look like for certain, but the paint looks sloppy. Even if the paint was very good, models tend to sell for more unpainted.

You're 12? That's great. When I was 12 my painting didn't look half this good. But that doesn't change the fact that most people who get paid for their painting skills HAVE been doing this for a decade or more, and you need to keep that in mind. For now, just enjoy the hobby, enjoy the game, and keep working on your skills. Keep at it and I assure you you'll be better than half the people who play these games by the time you can drive.

If you want to sell them then I suggest that you strip them well (to save the buyer doing it) and get them all mounted on 40mm bases so that they look neater.

Doing those things will likely improve the price you get for them.

You were a bit pushy about starting a business, so the answers reflect that.
Starting a thread with "Hi, I am 12 and this is my latest conversion" would have generated different answers.

They certainly look better than I could have painted at your age, if I'd even had the patience to do so, so kudos for that.

Would I purchase them? In a word, no. It's a ok home-made piece, but the lack of uniform-basing turns me off immediately.

The beautiful alternatives out there also work against you. There are so many masterfully made professional sculpts out there, and they're all amazing.

Sit back, and enjoy having a piece that's unique and no-one else has while you continue to practice your craft, and keep working at it. If you truly wish to attempt to sell these pieces, I would recommend the same as others have in this thread, re-base them all on the same size base, and strip the paint so the buyer can repaint them to fit the paint scheme of their army.

Enjoy them yourself, or swap them.

Someone may pay over $35 for them as is but don't expect it there are a lot of TWC conversions out there so its pretty much a buyers market.

Do think about cleaning the minis up, trim the mould lines and sort out the scars where you have trimmed the bitz away from the sprue. Base on 40mm or whatever.

Practice makes perfect.

ya you guys are right about them being a little messy and also about the bases but the reason for them being mis mached is that i did the first one just fot fun and i like how it turned out and wanted to do more but i did not have enough large bases
would it be better to swich them to 40mm or calvery bases?

Cavalry bases would help for consistency. However, don't say "If you have nothing to say, say nothing at all" - this is a public forum and we're allowed our own opinions as well.

We're left guessing as to what sort of base they're supposed to have. I'd say either would be appropriate but I'd lean towards the 40mm myself.

Thanks for taking the criticism well, Nate.

When GW eventually comes out with models, I guarantee you they'll be on 60mm round bases like Canis is, and Bloodcrushers (the closest comparable unit) are.
