Hey guys...tis been a while.

Heres the latest from me, its a commission. You can see the steps from sketch to where I'm at right now, C@C as usual!

First, welcome back!! Am I wrong or do I remember you more from B&C than Dakka??

Anyhow, it's still early, but composition and color look to be spot on so far. The only criticism I can make is the the front facet and barrel area of the bolter look slightly skewed out of perspective, not as noticeable with the muzzle flash though.

Other than that, I am more than confident you will be putting out something magnificent given your track record!

Ground control to major Tom, that bolt pistol has been a pain in my ass. I'll continue tweaking it, and yes I tend to post more on B@C but have ventured out lately to other places.

My only issue with this is the size of the bolt pistol and the Marine's helmet - as well drawn as he is, he looks really chubby! Your color palette is really nice and muted though, and I like that.

thats been a common input as well, I normally draw my marines pretty bulky but I have since adjusted the size a bit I'll be posting a WIP when I get more done.

It's Paul Dainton style... More realistic proportions and bulk. He may look 'chubby', but a hugely muscled giant could fit in there and still have room for the tech of the suit itself. I love it personally!

I was Sisko11 at B&C, I posted there for a few years, working on DA stuff mostly. I loved B&C but it seems to have declined a bit over the years, lots of greats like Commander Y, Chaplain Desmodus, Misgula and Bushido rarely post there compared to 'back in the day'. Dakka is a great community, and since I've broadened my horizons further than just painting green marines, I prefer to invest my time here as there is no limitation on the work you can show, and more importantly, see.

You should put up a thread in the showcase forum with all your finished work, I'm sure people would go nuts!

Cool! Surprised the perspective is off on the bolt pistol, seeing as how the rest of the picture is top notch. The proportions are perfect for a massive spacemarine IMO.

This looks great. I just have to say that the bolt pistol perhaps should have more muzzle flash and slightly larger casings too.

you have a great talent! this is awesome. The bolter and head need to be much larger though

I know this guy is chaos but look at how huge the bolter appears when thrust forward..

I fixed the bolter and continued to refine the rest of the piece.

It looks awesome my only critisisum would be that if the arm is pointing toward the viewer which it sort of is if he's firing that bolt pistol properly and not gangsta style it should be getting larger perspective wise as it approaches the viewer it appears to be shrinking the further toward the hand it gets

His proportions could be adjusted though, even for a 'heroic scale' Marine the helmet is half the size it could be.

I think he's done, I sized up the head added all the info to the banner and viola.

Making the bolter has made a huge difference, all for the better. The picture again is stunning just like the rest of your art work. Only thing throwing me off is the size of the head, it honestly need to be bigger.
