Hey there, could you please show some close ups? From what I see they look like they're well painted, but I'd like a closer look if you don't mind

Hi, again MUTO.
I forgot to tell you on the other thread just how good you actually are. The blood drop on the leg with the feathers is just spot on. You have a great ability within, and I think you are going to be a very well known painter here!

they look great especally for them being your first five models painted
to make them look even better you could do a bit of highlighting and then wash it for dept and htat would make them truly amazing

They are looking very good, congratulations!
As for the transitions... maybe Vallejo Glaze Medium, and a neutral red/the same red you used? It would create a wash that would keep the original colour, and tie the darker and lighter ones with it. I don't have much experience with that, it could also work with the Baal Red Wash.

Vallejo is a brand of colors or what? I'm really impressed when i see http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m70182a_SH_Terminator4XL.jpg these kind of transitions... i mean... i know that they are painter from the eavy metal, but omg..
How they are able to use the color like this?

i did 3/4 washes and 3 passage of highlighting from base red (that it is a foundation color) to vomit brown... as i saw on the web page of gameworkshop...
but maybe i should pass more time on steps

Thanks BlackRam!
Really i know that it sound stupid but i just copied it from the GW site painting guide And i sweared a lot against those feathers... i washed them 2 times to hide my errors

yes, they are my first minis, i tried to copy exactly and follow the step by step guides on the GW site... i always liked the world of warhammer 40k but i have never been really into it..
I like to paint.. but not minis... i like to draw and do sketches, because of my preparation and studies...

If those are your first painted models you should be very proud, they look very good.
A common method for good transitions is put a midtone of your colour over everything then work on highlights and shading with thinned paint. When you're pretty much done thin your midtone colour right down to a glaze and go over the whole area. This can smooth out any transition lines and it's surprising how that glaze layer can tie everything back in together.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman |

THx ... really i need this kind of advice...
I'll try to work more on the midtone colour and shades...
I was simply thinking that the model looks great after a wash...i mean the texture.. it really helps to smooth all the transitions and removes the glossy effect.
