Yes, I know we are a long way off of getting a new Chaos Codex, but I got a "feeling" about what will possibly be in the next one. Just writing them down here so as to be able to bring it back up if these are right. Anyway:
Daemons will be eleminated from the codex. We will no longer be able to summon any sort of Daemon unto the battlefield. Daemon Princes are not a "Summonable Daemon", and will remain.
We will be getting a Great Spawn as an Elite choice. This will be a Monstrous Creature, with better stats than the Daemon Prince, but less options. People will think that is dumb.
The Books of Chaos will not be making a return. HOWEVER, Marks will receive a major overhaul, and will give special abilities to certain units, instead of a blanket buff, and certain units will be unable to receive certain marks.
We will be receiving a Demon Engine Tank-Like thing.
Chaos Dreadnaughts will still be the cause of many rule arguements in it's next incantation.
Anyway, that is what I got. These are probably not going to happen, but there you are.

Return of T6 Daemon Princes with possible Daemon Armor upgrade (2+ armor save). Reason being that the recent Marine dexes saw a return of the Artificer armor upgrade (or Rune Armor upgrade in case of SWs, as well as a slew of Artificer armor-equipped characters in the BA codex). There are also alot of MCs with T6 running around now.
Mutants might appear and Big Mutants might fill up the the needed "elites pseudo-MC" slot. That or the Great Spawn you mentioned. With them, there might also be some new Daemon Engines and possibly some new units, like perhaps a generic Dark Apostle that bestows similar effects as a Wolf Priest, and Sorceror Covents (units made up entirely of sorcerors). Cult specific units might be there too (Berserker and Noise Marine Bikers, Nurgle and Noise Marine Havocs, and possibly Thousand Sons Terminators).
Hopefully customizable Possessed instead of the random ones we have now, or at least more balanced effects (Scouts really shouldnt be on that list).
Cross codex units: Namely God-specific Daemons. I'm sorry but CSM without Daemons is basically Codex: spiky Pre-heresy Marines. God specific lesser Daemons will likely make an appearance, but besides that nothing else. Elites, Fast attack, and HQ choices will remain Daemon-exclusive, as will the Soul Grinder.

I doubt they will ever impliment the cultists. GW seems to love taunting us with that one ever since the beginning of time. (Yes I'm aware that they did actually have rules in the 3.5 codex. No it doesnt count, because only one Legion could use them and they weren't very good).

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."
