Good day, Dakka-dakka.
Since im in WH40k ive made all my bases sand-style (just glue sand and paint it). It looks not "cool". So im looking for some tips for making nice industrial, posessed bases for my nurgles and tyranids.
And here i have problem:
for my tyranid genestealers/gaunts (as you know) bases have a gap for placing in it miniature. If i cut stand on mini i cant glue it to base (mini stands on a single nail and cant stand tight).
So can you help me- how to make good looking bases for such minis?

Industrial bases are easy to do - even with plastic models where the figure needs to be attached before basing can be done.

Materials you want to look for include:
# floor tile
# plastic card rod and tube
# plastic card with tile design
# variable grain sand

The various plastics can be used as is. The floor tile chips and breaks like concrete - it can also be etched with designs.

Embossed Plasticard.

Cut circles using a circle cutter.

Cement on to the top of the base with polystryene cement.

Polystyrene figures can be cemented on top of the plastic card, because it is polystyrene. They will fix quite well if they have flat feet.

For metal figures, fill the underneath of the base with Plastic Padding.

Drill and pin the metal figure's feet to the base, using Superglue or epoxy cement. You can also do this with plastic figure which are only one foot to the ground.

For added detail you can put bits of pipe (sprue) and other equipment lying around.

Thank you for help!
But second question- how to fit genestealers with their basing with plastcard base? Drill a hole? Make 2 prats of basing and glue it around "standing nail"? And painting it....

Also, get the imperial sector. 90 bucks worth of enough plastic to make 4 buildings or a TON of bases.

I would cut off the slotta, and cement the feet directly to the base.

I would paint the models off the base, paint the bases separately, and cement them together at the end.

I like to use spray paints as much as possible. If you paint by hand, it isn't hard to paint the base with model stuck to it.

Here. No...here.

Use very small stones glued closely together. Once the top is filed it looks like concrete. Tiring to do on a large army though...

Alternatively you could glue the Genstealer into the base slot and then base the model, putting some rubble on top to hide the slot. The fact you havent tried this maybe suggests you don't want to 'permanantly' have your genestealer on an industrial base, if thats the case i would suggest pinning the foot.
