They don't have to be the official ones. I was looking at some of Reaper's stuff and saw some interesting things, but I'm having trouble finding a few things.

1. Eladrin Female Warlock

2. Female Dragonborn Avenger

3. A Warforged SnS fighter.

Any suggestions/ideas?

Have you looked at the PH heroes sets for these yet?

Anything Warforged is going to be semi-hard to find. What is SnS?

Dragonborn are going to be either very pricey (for plastic minis) or unpainted metal. Reaper (or whatever they are called now, have some dragon men.

When I say pricey I mean $10 and up for a single medium base mini. Not Gelatinous Cube pricey ($50).

Sword and Shield is what I meant by SnS heheh.. I think it comes from an old forum from a game or something.

I did find this: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/dragon%20female/price/03403#detail/03403_w_1

Which would work I think, I'm also leaning more towards the Reaper stuff for the price. Why pay $3-$4 for a plastic pre painted figure when I can pay $5-$6 for a nice solid one that I can paint how I'd like?

Well of course you can do that, I at times get sick of their rubberized plastic parts falling off due to poor glueing, or how their paint is never sealed over, so a mini that is not just clear plastic ( ie Fire Elementals ) tends to become black plastic, also the metal minis dont become so permanantly warped. Also just like those D4s your players are sporting do not leave them on the floor to be stepped on, some of the parts may actually be sharp enough that it could stab someone on the foot.

It's even better than you think!

Dragonborn Paladin goes for about $16 before shipping.

Only a measly $15!

you don't by any chance have any spiked chain wielding warrior women do you? My wife is looking for one after her previous one went walkabout. no idea what happened to it.

heh, that's the one we're replacing. We might end up re-buying it and using it as a conversion.
Thanks though

Reaper's my favorite source for player character minis.

Dragonborn, Eladrin and Warforged are names more or less specific to D&D, so independent companies making minis for them aren't going to use those exact names. They'll usually just be "dragon man, or half dragon" or the like; for Eladrin just use Elves or High Elves. Warforged may be a little trickier, but I'm certain there are "clockwork men" or "mechanical warriors" or such.

My rule of thumb for D&D characters is to not get oo hung up on WYSIWYG. After al, the character will probably end up going through a fair number of weapons and armor if they're successful. For the exotics just go for something in the ballpark: Any lizard-man could be a dragonborn, any golem-type could be a Warforged, and any elf type could be an Eladrin.

The same for class, as a lot of figures sold as 'Clerics' may work fine for Paladins (Especially if they're mace or flail wielders) and a robed 'wizard' could be a wizard, sorceror, druid, or other lightly armored type.

Bonus points if you show details related to character feats.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Good point on WYSIWYG. We wargamers also start with a leg up on pure RPGers. A simple conversion for a weapon swap doesn't scare us.

The only time I honestly use WYSIWYG is when I play with picky people, most of the group I play with is used to models that are "purely representational", rather I have had some of my raveners used for some serpentine creature, and other minis used for off purposes. If you get too picky on the subject then you will end up with minis that will be used for only one campaign and that is somewhat of an annoyance because I spent forever building and painting one that would only get used for one game, and the player would not take the mini for free or buy it after we finish.

I agree to an extent. I'm not too concerned about WYSIWYG, I'd just like to have a mini to represent my character. I might just reroll dwarf since we are still first level, and I have found a lot more options for dwarves over minotaurs.

One of the guys in our group had a warforged, so we are okay on that one, just trying to find a female dragonborn and thats really all we need for proper representation.

Hrm. Avengers are usually in cloth armor, aren't they? There's a paladin here...

http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/dragonman/sku-down/03403

Maybe you could say this one's female, clip the staff (and maybe the scroll), replace with appropriate weapon/s?

I like this one too, but it's probably too masculine:

The first one is the one she wants. No one is really too picky about proper armor or anything, just as long as it is represented to an extent.

I do love that Reptus line though.

My group tends to panic when the Gm pulls out is Tyranids for monsters. Whatever they end up being, if the Necrons come out it isn't going to be pretty.

If you can convert, I think necron pariahs make passable warforged.
