If you're dropping the Long Fangs consider to exchange the ML with MM (same price), especially vs mech. Or even a mix of both.

Most players will counter this by castling up with a bubble wrap screen, then either pulling back or letting you kill the screen, then gunning you down and assaulting you.

So turn one only half your army is on the board? I find the idea of all drop pod armies horrendous. You come out of that pod, in the open, and cannot shoot heavy weapons or launch assaults.
I don't know what makes them good in wolves save for the suicide dred, even then I don't like it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you asked for a list critique. I provided it. I cannot separate one element of your list from the others as part of being a good list is having synergy. "The rest" of your list is 100% dependent & reliant on drop pods so no it can't be separated out any more than I can separate out a unit from their desired transport be it a rhino, razorback, LR or yes drop pod.

drop pod was meant as the theme, so in the back drop, in essence think of it as I am forced to use drop pods, how can I make this list better(can't believe i have to say this)

Ok onto the list:
~ 8 pods = normally a bad number, try to stick with odd numbers as the imbalance of the half assault always rounds up. Example; if you had 7 overall pods you still drop 4 on turn, whilst you have 8 (3 being empty from the start as I would never advise to drop fangs since they won't be able to shoot unless attached with Logan) and still only dropping 4.
~ You need a rune priest for at least slight psychic defense. Yes it's only a 50% block, but when you block a farseer's fortune or any other crucial psychic power the worth is clear.
~ If you're going to drop Grey hunters you need to commit to them. When I say this I mean - attached Wolf Guard in terminator armour with combi-melta and chainfist. Also, add a standard to each squad. power weapon additions only if the points allow, but they aren't too necessary.
~ Drop the 10 wolf guard with storm bolters, that unit will do nothing for you.
~ for your terminators with ragnar, make them wolf claw + ss to take advantage of the constant furious charge. melta bombs are not necessary neither is the MotW in that squad. Make one guard a chainfist + ss so you have a way to tackle dreads and tanks with ease and create more of a threat with that squad.
~ On average, ideal setup for dropping squads (troops) would be:
Grey hunters pack: (7/8), melta gun, wolf standard, mark of the wolfen, Drop Pod, attached Wolf Guard in terminator armor with chain fist and combi-melta.
This gives each troop choice a way to handle other troops, dreads, tanks, etc. They are all around more useful.
~ With the spare points add another squad with the above setup after changing out the other 3 to match the same style. You should have points left to add a Rune Priest.

For Wolves, the big attraction is Counterattack. It basically makes it a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't assault kind of thing. Personally I don't really care for it though.
FWIW, if I were running LF in Pod, I'd run them all with Multimeltas with Logan Grimnar so he can give them Relentless. Then, split fire on the drop and nuke 2 tanks on the drop. Next turn, split off Logan to another squad and give them some other numbnuts ability.
But yeah...one trick pony and very pricey at that.

emp had my strategy right on the long fangs, I would walk them off the edge of the board and let the pods drop in later

I agree with most of what has been said by Emp, however I reckon the ideal setup for a drop pod Gh pack is:-
9 Grey Hunters
-MOTW
-Meltagun
Attached Wolf Guard
-Power fist
-Combi-melta
Drop pod [233pts]
This gives you shooting the turn you drop. either bolter or twin melta depending on whats by you, a good body count and the power fist MOTW for great cc prowess.
I also can't emphasise the importance of a Rune Priest enough. So many forces now are augmented by psychic powers and if you can stifle that half of the time = WINNER! Take one in termie armour (Protection), with a chooser of the slain and keep him back with the Long Fangs. For powers living lightning has nulimited range and is effective + another.
The storm bolter wolf guards are very poor!
I guess my list would look more like this:-
Ragnar [240pts]
Wolf Priest [100pts]
Rune Priest + terminator armour + chooser [130pts]
4 wolf Guard terminators
-Cyclone missile launcher + thunder hammer + storm shield
-Cyclone missile launcher + thunder hammer + storm shield
-2 Wolf Claws
-2 Wolf Claws
Drop pod [317pts]
9 Grey Hunters + melltagun + MOTW + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + power fist + combi-melta [233pts]
9 Grey Hunters + melltagun + MOTW + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + power fist + combi-melta [233pts]
9 Grey Hunters + melltagun + MOTW + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + power fist + combi-melta [233pts]
5 Long Fangs + 4 missile launchers + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard [168pts]
5 Long Fangs + 4 missile launchers + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard [168pts]
5 Long Fangs + 4 missile launchers + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard [168pts]
That now gives you 7 drop pods - 3 empty ones from the Long Fangs kept in reserve and the 4 full ones coming down on turn one.
Ragnar with the WG termies and wolf priest give you a furious charge, preferred enemy unit that can fire 4 missiles per turn and seriously hurt anything.
Hope that helps.

The Rune Priest in TDA doesn't do much a part spelling Living Lightnin' from your table edge (as a really pricy autocannon..), to profit by his anti-psyonics protection he will must come at 24" from the enemy. A part that, I really like your list Wulfen Brother.

I would say you need a standard, plus with a terminator model with chainfist my squads can tackle dreadnoughts, while your will not have as easy of a time because you're relying on a regular powerfist. You have 2 more bodies basic, but in my experience quality > quantity. In a vacuum, my squad would be more resilient when they hit they're major assault than yours because I'd have an easier time with the standard plus more of a tank threat on subsequent turns.

At least one thunder hammer needs to be a chain fist. Then switch the rest of the guards to WC + SS. It gives you much more staying power and with the re-roll hits and wounds, plus I5 and S5, you don't need the extra 2 attacks.
9 Grey Hunters + melltagun + MOTW + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + power fist + combi-melta [233pts]

-Attached Wolf Guard [168pts]
That now gives you 7 drop pods - 3 empty ones from the Long Fangs kept in reserve and the 4 full ones coming down on turn one.
I feel you're trying to imbalance too much and it's only hurting you. 5 Pods is all that's necessary in this list, 7 is too excessive and forces you to make your entire game strategy turn 1. 3 Pods are coming in empty no matter what so you're dumping 105 points for no reason. If you drop 2 pods you save yourself 70. Terminator armor on the rune priest is not worth it. That's 90 points. Could be better spent upgrading 3 Wolf Guard into terminator armor and giving them chain fists. With that done you'd be forced to drop 4 Grey hunters (saying the Rune Priest goes into a GH squad, which I recommend). You're getting into the other person's face quick enough that you don't need the 3rd long fang squad. Dropping that for an additional GH unit in pod warrants you more access in objective missions without sacrificing anything. Now tactically if you need to blank them to hold a back objective you can swap out a cyclone guard for their TA Chainfist combi guard, so that the GH unit can stay back to claim AND STILL SHOOT . Your list would then look something like this:
Ragnar [240pts]
Wolf Priest + Saga of the Hunter [110pts]
Rune Priest + chooser (Jaws of the World Wolf, Living Lightning) [110pts]
4 wolf Guard terminators
-Cyclone missile launcher + thunder hammer + storm shield
-Cyclone missile launcher + Chain Fist + storm shield
-Wolf Claw + Storm Shield
-Wolf Claw + Storm Shield
Drop pod [292pts]
7 Grey Hunters + melltagun + MOTW + Standard + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + TDA + Chain fist + combi-melta [223pts]
8 Grey Hunters + melltagun + MOTW + Standard + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + TDA + Chain fist + combi-melta [238pts]
8 Grey Hunters + melltagun + MOTW + Standard + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + TDA + Chain fist + combi-melta [238pts]
8 Grey Hunters + flamer + MOTW + Standard + drop pod
-Attached Wolf Guard + TDA + Chain fist + combi-flamer [233pts]
6 Long Fangs + 5 missile launchers
-Attached Wolf Guard [158pts]
6 Long Fangs + 5 missile launchers
-Attached Wolf Guard [158pts]
Total : 2000
You lose 2 missile launchers overall, but gain an additional troop choice (more models) plus quality in all your troops (sustainability + killing power). Your Ragnar unit can now survive much more of a hurt for things such as plasma cannon fire for example while only sacrificing 2 attacks, plus they now can handle dreads with ease thanks to the chain fist. PLUS with Saga of the Hunter on the Wolf Priest, anytime that squad is gaining a cover save, they get +1 Thanks to GW's FAQ ruling that IC Stealth collaborates to the squad which is sweet.
