Hey,

I am new to the forum and back to the hobby after about 10 yrs in the warp. As all my paints are totally dried up I will have to buy a new set. I decided to give a try to the vallejo game colors and so far i picked up those color as a start for a Nurgle army:

Skull White - Dead White (001)
Bad Moon Yellow* - Bald Moon Yellow (005)
Blood Red - Bloody Red (010)
Scab Red - Scarlett Red (012)
Tentacle Pink* - Squid Pink (013)
Imperial Purple* - Royal Purple (016)
Ultramarine Blue - Ultra Marine Blue (022)
Snot Green - Sick Green (029)
Camo Green - Camouflage Green (031)
Bilious Green * - Livery Green (033)
Bleached Bone - Bonewhite (034)
Snakebite Leather - Cobra Leather (040)
Dwarf Flesh - Dwarf Skin (041)
Bestial Brown - Beasty Brown (043)
Chaos Black - Chaos Black (051)
Boltgun Metal - Gunmetal (054)
Dwarf Bronze - Bright Bronze (057)

Do you see anything mandatory missing?

Thanks in advance!!!

I would go with Vallejo model color paints not game color.

Game color is normally either too chunky or too runny. It's not a huge problem but its a little annoying sometimes. Although if there a color thats not in the model color line theres no harm in picking up some of the game color.

Hey you forgot the most important ones for Nurgle!

You need the Rotting Flesh, Catachan Green, and Ghostly Grey equivalents. I do agree that VMC is better than VGC but the VGC are still good and useful... and also closer in match to the GW colors. The VMC Metallics are, imo, the best of ALL the mini-paint brands (except GW-Mithryl Silver). ...VMC Brass, VMC Gold and VMC Silver are sooo good.

thanks guys!

I've been checking a few fora and it seems that, like all things paint is also a matter of taste, so i am going to give a try to the game colors but i will definitely add your suggestions to the order

thanks again!

A common build up for Nurgle greenish is:

Chaos black, Catachan Green, Camo green, Rotting flesh, Bleched bone and finally a bit of skull white.

I'd still give in to GW and pick up some of the new washes. They are excellent. For my Death Guard I use a lot of Devlin Mud and Griffon Sepia. Badab Black is excellent for shading but I don't use it as much lately, multiple layers of Dev Mud seem to work better for me.
