Thanks, I absolutely love the Trygon/Mawlock kits because of all the cool stuff you have left over. Over half of my tyranid conversions use leftover parts from just two kits

Dark red looks really nice! Base could use little more work but otherwise nice job.

It's a subtle conversion, but still the result is very different from the base model.
If I may suggest, you could try to paint the skin a tad smoother. Water down your paints, apply multiple layers and more shades.
The carapace is a perfect example for that - it looks so natural!

The model was originally a zoanthrope from my brothers 4th edition nid army. My brother wanted the DoM for his updated 5th edition army, so i converted and painted the head leaving his body the original color. So basically the body is my painting abilities two years ago where as the head my my current ability
