All very characterful designs, though everyone will have the favourites and pet hates.

I've had the rules for a couple of years. I haven't justified the cost of the models to myself yet.

However, as my collection of SF terrain increases, it gets harder and harder to resist Infinity, though the high value of the Euro helps.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I buy most of the combined army, as a small collectors present to myself...it helps more that way

Are these one piece models? Or are the heads separate? Some of those would be NUTS to have for bits.

Usually the weapons arms are seperate, but they are easy to put together. I have to say I am growing more and more tempted each month with these.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

And, as as usual, Ariadna gets ignored. I do like those Muyibs, though.

Check out The Warstore, things aren't usually too badly priced there.

And also: Stop hating on Ariadna, Corvus Belli. Something shiny would be much loved.

It's just a shame these figure wouldn't fit into 40K.

Eh. With a darker paintscheme, they'd fit in perfectly.

And no, I don't mean just slap black and grey all over them.

Infinity just uses a lot of warmer colors that really make them feel "out of place". If you started off a black or grey primer base, the tone of the models changes...a lot.

The fault for this is at least partially due to the weakness of the economy meaning the dollar and pound are comparatively weaker than the artificially-supported euro. I notice the opposite phenomenon whenever I'm purchasing American or British things.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Awesome as always. I really love how they have that animeish style without the silly stuff like girls with a 1" waist and 55EEE bra sizes and stuff like that.

Not really. I picked up Cassandra Kusanagi to use as an Inquisitrix, but she looks like a child in comparison to GW's minis.

Maybe she's been abusing the Juvinat treatments...

EXPENSIVE month for me - especially as I'm THIS close to jumping in with PanO too!

empchild - you know ANYONE in our area that's playing the game?

I'm pretty much concentrating on my TS marines, and other than that, I could easily seeing myself going full force on INFINITY stuff IF I can only find a group somewhere near me!

More likely, to look at them, the GW models have been abusing the steroids.

I totally disagree with this statement. I think it's great that these don't (easily) fit in with GWs WH40K.

GW (WH40K) have worked hard to develop their own "style" of miniature (love it or hate it) they have, in my opinion, done this to stamp a theme on their products and to ensure that there is a definate identity to their game. Well, this and the fact that (rightly so) you can only use their products while gaming at one of their sites

My point here, is that I'm glad that Infinity (Corvus Belli) haven't hedged their bets, by producing miniatures that could be used for the almighty WH40k. To me, this would have been the easy way to miniatures success (perhaps a very corperate move) because even if their game didn't sell well, or meet with a good response from the gaming community, at least their miniatures would sell as proxies.

It seems to me that Corvus are serious about supporting their game, and that the game is as important to them as the miniatures are. So they haven't been affraid to stamp their own identity and style to their miniatures, and make them specificially to fit into their own system.

This months miniatures are just great. I love the Nomad, the pose is awesome, along with Aleph......I'm not overly fussed that they haven't done anything for Ariadna, I trust their regular product releases, and I have no doubt that they will ever abandon a faction for very long.

Man down, Man down....

I'll be honest, I have no idea what you mean by "forcing a meme"??

I'm not trying to start a verbal battle about the pros and cons of a manufacturers product being used for WH40K. I think we can all agree that horse has been flogged. I'm simply stating my opinion,a nd the reasons for it. If people want to buy these miniatures and use them for WH40K, more power to them, I can see why they would do so, the miniatures are great and maybe, in their area, there isn't the gaming support for Infinity.....

Edit# Just for clarification, I know what a Meme is, I'm just not sure about your aspirations, and what kind of idea you are trying to transmit to this online group?

In the second picture featuring the prowlers, does anyone know what that purple-skinned Asari looking model is? The one with the double bladed weapon.
