So, as it may as well be confirmed, the Storm Raven is coming to all the marine chapter. So my fellow Marine players, what will you do with your new Storm Raven?

Except it's not confirmed. People who have read the February WD have stated, repeatedly, that it does not feature the rules as being usable for every Marine Chapter.

The strength of Stormravens is mobile Dreadnaughts imo, not troop deployment. BA LRs are better for that.

If the SR was for all chapters, wouldn't the back of the box have pictures of SR's painted in those colors? I only see BA and GK.

Even if I could take one, I probably wouldn't. My Space Wolves are effectively shelved right now, and I don't see one of those things fitting in with my emphatically old school Crimson Fists. The model also doesn't appeal to me much.

I think most people are too aesthetically displeased with it to care. Not that I am, i think it suits astartes vehicles to a tee.
But if it's not confirmed now, you'll just have to wait for 6th editions SM dex. It WILL be in there.

If it was for all chapters it would be done up Ultramarine style, the poster boys of the marines, but it's in BA red, and since the BA's love to field their Dreadnoughts even more than any other chapter this beast is for dropping Dreads into fray ASAP, let the troops get there in their Rhinos and land-raiders.

Although I was thinking of possibly getting one way down the line and doing it in IF colors and the same with a Baal Predator. Afterall I've still got a long way to get my IF army up to strength.

I don't get the SR, and I think it is an ugly model. I have no need for it. All it deserves is a krak or lance to the face, IMO!

My iron hands would love them. I would probably use them as fire support models since I dislike predators and my heavy support is full of thunderfire cannons. Would defiantly consider buying three of these bad boys if my codex allowed them.

Drop it behind enemy lines and do bombing runs with them and also create a massive strike force and have death fall from the skies. Yep that would be my army. And have a great vechile with the world awesome written all over it.

I wouldn't take a stormraven, even if it was allowed for other chapters, AV12 in the air lasts 1 turn max.

Use the kit to build not 1 but 2 scenery pieces of downed StormRaven as a warning to those that might use them against me.

For my Wolves, I'd swap out the Land Raider Redeemer that has Ragnar, a Wolf Priest and a bunch of Blood Claws in it.

For C:SM, I'd be tempted to make a White Scars army using it.

It's immune to Melta, and anything in it can assault 40 inches.

It is flimsy, but it's survivability (I mauled that word >.< is greatly increased by providing other targets for your enemy to shoot at.
