I Know this is early and is based on rumours however I just want to see other peoples views

Gray Knights rumor is that all NFW are going to be force weapons due to the wording of Blessing of the blood got I can take a 2+ INV save vs them. The question is do if you think that if NFW are force weapons will GW faq Blessing to not work on force weapons.

Why would they?

More to the point, why would it matter since all Daemons are Eternal Warriors anyway?

Matter? The difference to normal weaponry would often be quite large, to the NFWs detriment. Anyone striking a blessed model with a not-FW will have his attacks negated by the models normal saves while a NFW would always face the 2+.

I don't think so; a force weapon is just a power weapon. The 2++ would only apply if the Grey Knight attempted to use the force weapon psychic power, which he'd never do since Daemons are EWs.

Yes, i would never activate a force weapon against a model with the blessing of the blood god.

However, there is a good possability of them putting a line in the description of NFWs that deamons may not take Invuln saves against an activated NFW. and that NFWs bypass EW like they do now.

in exchange they would keep the deamonic assault rule and give you endless amounts of certain troop choices like in the current book.

IIRC the blessing doesn't actually say "FW instakill power", it says FW. So the argument goes that the save isn't for the ID power (that you actually can't save - you've already failed saves if the power can be used) but against wounds from the FW.

Well there we are, it does indeed say 'force weapons.' That could be a bit of a laugh when a bunch of GKs run at a Bloodthirster only to give it a 2++ save!

You could always take invulnerable saves against Force weapons; Blessing of the blood god does not need to be changed.

Also only the "current" Daemon hunters Force weapons ignore EW. The new ones will just be force weapons again, and EW ignores the effect of ID, and all Daemons of Chaos are EW.

No change to any of that is necessary.

Kel, the point is that Blessing of the Blood God gives the model a 2++ save against Force Weapons. Not just against the instant-death ability of FW. Which sucks for you if you're trying to use one to wound a model with BotBG.

ThatMG is hoping GW might FAQ it so BotBG isn't so brutal against GK.

However, the New rules for NFWs arn't that they are Force Weapons.

they become force weapons upon a succesful Psychic test made by the squad as a whole. no second testy is required to cause ID.

against a Prince with Blessing the GK player can just not activate the NFWs.

Sure. And if Nemesis Force Weapons are made of green cheese, they'll be mighty tasty, too.

What's the point of debating rules when people can't even prove what the rules are?
