Hello dakites. I'm planning on building a giant grey knight army soon.. And i'm wondering what should i grab at this current time to start work apon.

My pre-april check list is as follows:

- Dreadnaught (new furioso kit) with plasma cannon and CCW
- Stormraven gunship
- Land Raider

- note i won't be gluing weapons in place to reduce any danger of invalid units.-

This list sounds reasonable? Should i add anything else to the list?

id say snag up as many of those metal grey nights as you can. They are the best models GW has put out and being the staple of the codex dont see how they can become defunct. The new plastic stuff is going to be around for a while without changing.

Been doing this same thing for the last couple months. So many termies.

Oh I come from a land, from a faraway space
Where the caravan shuttles roam
Where the war is immense
And the fights are intense
It's barbaric, but hey, it's home

Imperium nights
Like Imperium days
More often than not
Are hotter than hot
In a lot of good ways

Thanks for the reply.

Yes.. I used to have a few sqauds of power armored grey knights.. But i hate metal. The grey knights i had kept losing their arms all to easy... Then again that was about almost 2 years ago.

I'll just wait for the plastics.. Easier to paint, assemble and repairing plastic is easy (Mostly)

So while waiting for the grey knight kits to come out... I was wondering what tanks and walkers i should grab for my april project.

GKs sounds like one of those armies that you cannot really plan for too much compared to others. For example, with my SW army, I bought rhinos, preds, and a LR in advance.

With GKs you could prepare by purchasing a land raider or two, the storm raven, and some dreadnoughts. But without a bits kit out for them right now to convert normal marines, or even the usual adeptus astartes vehicles, there is not much to get in preparation, relatively speaking of course.

Edit: I should not downplay preparing too much because I still haven't finished this skyclaw squad when I bought a SM battleforce when I was preparing for the space wolves release in oct. of 09'. The LR, SR, and noughts will still take a lot of time to paint!

As it is the only vehicle which you can buy for GH that is 99% confirmed for the upcoming codex is the Stormraven. I would say its almost as certain that they will have a Dreadnought option as well as a Land Raider (standard pattern definitely, unknown variants so not gluing things is a good idea), but there are some rumours floating round that they are getting some new form of walker (fluff wise they have never been big on Dreads) and whether its an upgraded Dread or something different remains to be seen (it may replace the Dread, work along side it or turn out to be complete BS and not even exist).

Rhinos and Razorbacks are most likely in but its unclear at this stage whether Grey Knights themselves will be able to buy them or if its still like the existing codex where Stormtroopers etc can buy them.

I'd say wait. Until you know FOR SURE what'll be in the pages, why waste your money?

Most likely you'll pick a special char and theme the army around em. All PAGK and termis will have new options, and of course theres the new Dreadknights and things...

So save up your cash and wait it out! we'll know soon enough what's in store for us! (on that note, I'll probably be changing both my LR over to GK with the release lol....)

Yea, i've heard all the rumors

Was thinking of mass purgation sqaud spam if the rumors are true. 6 Sqauds of pyscannons would scare the living bejesus out of some armies.

Since each sqaud would be about deveastator size.. Razorbacks would be strong.

On the other hand... A 30 model terminator army sounds rather fun..

Apparently the new plastics are the same models, just plastic not metal
