I'm running a little 16-slot event on February 13, at Game Kastle in San Jose. 4 2-hour rounds, 1500 points, using the Adepticon Championship Primer missions (so we'll end up with a single overall winner).

Registration begins at 10 AM.
Round 1: 10:30-12:30
Lunch: 12:30-1:00
Round 2: 1:00-3:00
Round 3: 3:15-5:15
Round 4: 5:30-7:30
Awards: 7:45

Painted models are not required, but there will be a "Best Painted" prize, budget allowing.
$10 entry fee.

And I'm not afraid to put terrain in the middle of the board.

You know, now I'm curious how easily the Primer missions could be adapted to Fantasy.... But yes - it's a 40k tournament.

We're looking at a hard cap of 16; the rest of the store is going to be full that day. If you're driving any significant distance, I'd recommend calling on Monday (2/7) or so, and asking them to sign you up.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I want to go, but I'm not sure if I can get that day off.

I'll probably be making it out there with my orks if i finish them up. Havnt played with them for a while. Plus the daemons are on time out for a while haha

Bah - if we can lose to half-nekkid space marines all this last weekend, you can show up with unfinished orks.

(Actually, I did pretty well on the "painted opponents" front at the Sprue Posse.)

Janthkin are you going to use Swiss pairings for this and W/L/D? I don't see any battle points for these missions unless I'm missing something.

Correct on all counts.

Adepticon's Championship this year is going to pure W/L/D - weeding 256 players down to 16 on day 1, who play on Sunday for a final elimination. Given that I can fit 4 rounds here, I don't need any separation, and I really like the mission design of the Primer missions.

I might or might not attend depending how busy I am this Semester. 1500 points sounds like a lot of fun!

I really want to go just to try these missions out in a competitive setting. They look fantastic. I think we are doing my birthday party on Saturday night, but if it's Friday night I will for sure be there.

Your going to play 40k Hung over, and sleep deprived? Sounds crazy haha. I dont even think i'd be able to make it out there, if Iend up going to your party haha.

Yeah, this party my friends are planning is meant to be pretty crazy. I doubt anyone will be up and at em early.

If its on super bowl sunday, I doubt i'll be going. Not that i really watch football normally. But im sure I'll be hanging out with friends watchin the game.

Alright, since people aren't 'ard enough to forgo the Superbowl, I've rescheduled. This tournament will now be held on Feb. 13, instead.

Given that turnout for tournaments is generally around 22 (mostly locals), and given that some of you plan on invading, reaching "capacity" was never the issue - it's going to be telling people that no, they can't play.

Please, if you plan on attending, make sure you call Game Kastle the week before & sign up.
