First of all thanks to everyone who has followed all the separate blogs over the past couple of months, I appreciate the time reading them and commenting on them.

Secondly there is a very simple reason why I am doing this - that is folding all the blogs and future ideas into one Mega Blog. I have a short attention span, not much time and lots of different projects.

Thirdly. Here is what you can expect; There will be Sigmarite Space Marines. There will be Halflings. There will be the Imperial 36th Regiment of Foot. There will be modeling. And, because I now have over 1000 miniatures in need of painting - there will be painting. I will paint and model everything to the best of my ability. There will be dip. There will be white paint and black paint.

There will also be Orks of both variety, some Chaos, Praetorians (assuming the company finally deliver). There will be Fimir, and men of Albion. Oh. Tau will appear. There will Bloodbowl and Necromunda too. There will be Empire. There will be a Dragon. There will also be a cavetroll. There will be Air Cavalry. There will also be scratchbuilding.

To those of you who don't know my backstory - I'd be grateful if you could read the Sigmar blog as that contains all you need to know. My gaming budget is 25 pound - I spent 75 over Xmas (and switched a LP player for some awesome stuff). I've spent 20 years slowly amassing miniature at cut-my-own-throat prices and it is time to give these guys what they deserve.

Anyway. Let the great adventure begin. This is a seriously long term project; probably 2 years work (same amount of time I have left in the Philippines).

I intend to play games too.

Ps. There will also be Ninjas and Pyschohalflings.

Pps. Ah yes...and SOB

So. Very brief thing on what to expect tomorrow. I have completed 2 for the 36th. A Rifleman Harris, and a Flamer. Tonight I might do a Rifleman Hagman, or a Gunnery Sgt Harper. Pictures to follow.

Thanks Blackhand!

So. These are the very first pics of the 36th Imperial Foot Regiment aka 'The Saucy Greens'. Redcoats with Green Facings. Let me know any comment/criticism because I have 68 more to make.

Tonight if I get the chance I will do some painting. I was trying to do a Sgt. Major Harper with a Autogun - but the metal autogun snapped in my clumsy hands. So I will need to fix that. Any ideas what other weapon I could use for Harper? I think a HBolter would look silly bearing in mind that the lasguns are pushing the realism boundary. Their made of a super light weight alloy honest!

Anyway. A lot of my stuff will arrive from home in late Feb, so between now and then I need to crack on with the Sigmarites, Halflings, and 36th.

Oh. Here is a link for the Character Sweet William from Sharpe ... I will GS some hair to the base after it is based. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_P7yGH5UbCWc/SDy5nhOudmI/AAAAAAAAAko/NmWEtXNq-AQ/s1600-h/revenge7.jpg

Here is Harris, note the book on the model too! By the hands of the clock he is at 3. I aiming to do all the Chosen Men. I might give the model a little beret, and because he can read - maybe he could be a Psyker. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_IrU05-qxkKo/TChCCykpU0I/AAAAAAAAA-w/NWyfuzKumwM/s1600/52sharpe.jpg

Yeah I think the lasguns are big enough on those models as it is, even the flamer is getting pretty big, they may need to be cut down a bit to save from looking too ungainly, I like the idea though, the sharpe books are great havn't had a chance to watch the tv shows yet.

Maybe a shotgun for harper? it fits rule wise in a vet squad and can be a modeled with a lasgun stock and a couple of bits of plastic tube.

awww they've got such tiny feet compared to the citadel stuff. Otherwise scale is not bad. looking forward to the application of some of these new paints. Makes all the difference.

And blackhand - everyone should watch sharpe - It has adventure, humour, bawdy wenches, romance and men from the ranks sticking it to posh officer types. And the battle scenes are realisticly done

big speach man^^, and a good one to start^^
i will be following this very closley as i am also a fan of the sharp tv show...
been a long time...
the autogun i am not really sold on, is it still possible to turn the tube 180 ° around? then it would probably look a bit better...to me^^
the chainsword is probably my biggest^^ issue with the squad so far. it is ridiculus big and no mere mortal could lift that...i would suggest go with a victrix saber and put a cable to the backpack and it will look good to go.
have you considered adding SM or other shoulderpads to get the heads better fit with the scale of the models?
your sweet william as for my part a bit bigger head... to my surprise harris looks just fine...so i don´t know what to say^^

have fun modeling all your models and i will cross fingers for a quick arrive of the praetorians from wargames factory...

@ Vik! You are right about the head and the chainsword. I am tempted to keep them though just to signify that they aren't mere mortals - they are Chosen (by the Emperor) Men! Have you seen Sharpe? The other non characters though will take your advice......how is your Airship coming along? Oh. Wargames Factory...you know these things happen...but after several FB posts I finally got a email last night. Horay. Might actually see those models one day.

@ MissDee! Cheers!

@ Fifty. I have just watched the entire boxed set in the last week - did not help with my Jetlag.

@ Neil. Have you seen the Waterloo episode? Sad emotions. Oh and Hakeswill! Great idea...and I have the perfect thing in mind!

@ Weety. True don't know how to increase size though....and soon. They should be here by the end of next month...takes 6 weeks for box. Same with dip. And model reinforcements.

you seem to have posted twice. That greenstuff is looking really good- and as for the scale issue I wouldn't worry to much - sometimes if a gun looks to big you can pare it down or shorten it but I dont think there is anyway of doing that with a plasma pistol or chainsword! And he looks pretty cool anyway. Very very characterful. Where's sharpe?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
actully I tell a lie you could shorten the chainsword.

at first i took a look at the praetorian reaper mini and thought again to big weapons, but then it dawned on me that painted the plasma gun will actually look quite stunning in a very manly way! so nice choice there, and the chainsword doesn´t look for me to big.
and yeppers, saw quite plenty of the sharpe series and then some films or a bit confused about that all in all as german telly does something fierce to british stuff once they get themselves to air these stuff... so it could be the series i´ve seen or rtather mashed together episodes to a fimlength.... too long ago to figure that out in a hurry... but i will have a look tehse days into that by a certain webpage i know off^^... dvds too pricey for me now... need the money on the minis^^

your harris looks outstanding now, really like the hat^^ thats so much character...
seems from what i see napoleonic and praetorian minis really get a big show these days on dakka...there is at least half a dozen threads up now... by the way i do them now meself^^ and all are welcome on party too^^ (sorry for the shameless add here^^)

one question, ruleswise what good does shotguns do compared to lasguns? are they any good or do they count as ccw?
haven´t read about that yet...

and one thing further now, i have to say that here as no one mentioned before: you do really good hair... care to share? that would be a good thing to do for me in a first GS attempt...

cheers and may the good times be rolling^^

Hey guys! Wow getting some decent feedback!

Weety! You are right...they are a little oversized. The ones I am doing at the moment are the Character/Heroic Figures...so I am ok with them being superhuman. The average IG Joe (see what I did there?) will have pared down weapons. Sharpe is on his way...I have a good idea for him, but I need a bit, which is currently somewhere in a box, which is on a boat, which is god knows where. Presumably and hopefully on the water.

Vik! I had a look you can get Hanoverian from Perry http://www.perry-miniatures.com/index2.html but I would not be surprised if Victrix did Prussian soon. I don't know what part of Germany you are from, so hope I'm not causing offense there. Actually all these models are my first serious attempts at GS. The only GS I had done before was filling in gaps. I am actually not sure if I am using the stuff the right way to be honest. It is very sticky - so I super glue a small dollop in the general area that I want, that way it is more attracted to the glue than to me and it is much easier to mold. You obviously need to be certain of your time and what you want to do. Then I use these very cheap (80 peso/ 1 euro1 pound) engraving tools i picked up to shape it. They have 8 different heads and using those I shaped the hair then sort of poked and pulled at it to give it a frizzy look. When I do Sharpe I'll use a similar method I think, and will take pics! Hope that makes sense!

Blackhand! Sean Bean is never off topic! Yes the books are great - show looks great too! Single concern - except from the rampant nipple tweaking in the books - is that Grrr Martin is a fairly large fellow who is quite old, and has no time management - Steven Erikson (great series of books - weird but good) finished 10 books in 10 years, where as GRRM hasn't even finished the Second half of the book he said was complete 8 years ago. With at least 3 books left in the series I think HBO will be finishing it for him. They bought the rights for all 7 (now 8 books) and have already greenlit season 2.Its out in April.

Scrazza! thanks :-)

Will post some pics now!

So comments are criticism always welcome.

First of all. What do you guys think of the Air Cavalry. Seen as I have lost all my roughriders and IG beastman (goddddddddddddddddddddddddddddamit! expletive deleted) I am thinking of using the metal steeds with these napoleonic riders...what do you think?

So. Obidiah Hakeswill (suggestion of neil101) might need some explanation. Basically. He was hung. Hence the noose. But didn't die. He is a thief and buried his ill gotten gains. Hence the shovel on his backpack and package at his feet. He has the sergeants spear thingy. And he was killed by firing squad hence his bullet ridden boddy.

Question. Should Sharpe be a heroic officer or a Commisar? Or a count as? Please advise...I need to work out how to play IG...I've never done that. Need to come up with a army list....suggestion would be great!

the last pic is full of...win-e...er beer?
there is no offence that youu could do as there is only one gemran country left^^ and if it counts for something i am from berlin, capital city has been will always stay so^^ even if it wasn´t^^
well not that i apüreciate the perry minis you linked, but have i missed a thing as to why you pointed them out? there really nice and look as if they could fit in the line of fatasy empire musketeers...hmm on second though...nah one day i wanted to go for the highlander from victrix...

the hint with the super glue to get a first spot of true stickyness to the mini is a really good one and i haven´t read that in all those tuts i read so far...! so this will be a handy tip.

haekswill looks real nice, is he still acting as a soldier or only as casulty in the sense of objectmarker?
as for sharp, and for my part all of his cronies^^ i would use them as conscripts like the last chancers or something depending to current codex (which i doen´t own atm), as here i think you have the biggest range of weaponmixup, correct me alll if i am wrong, i am here to learn and shamelassly use it then for me own army^^

great stuff, besides the ?ogryn body? looks brutal^^ in a good way. and i say totaly go for the airsteeds, when your mixing napoleonic minis with 40k minis there is no stopping with lost archeotech....^^

on a sidenote, as i read he his hung i thought...well you meant well endowed...oh me dirty mind...

cheers in more way than one^^, vik

Really quick post as the internet is intermittent and I want to get these pics up asap! Worked late into the night - but didn't do anything this morning as was finishing the penultimate book in the Black Company Series (a awesome series!)...didn't do any painting. Busy week ahead so production will ramp down, but painting might pick up. Admitedly I am waiting for my new paints.

Whatcha think?

With the Heroic Officer (can you guss who it is yet?) I wanted a Ork glyph - is that the same heroic officer who take the glyph at talegera...but I had a eagle to hand so that suits. He also has his big fudgeoff cavalry power sword, his telescopes with a incantation from Lord Solar Macheros or however you spell it. Its is a early version of Sharpe. All i have left to do from that group is a Perkins and a Hagman and the 2 other guys who disappeared in about the 5th episode. Was looking at victrix yesteray and I have a cunning plan for another Napleonic...but that will have to be after everything else.

Sentinels...what do you think? I can do four like that...provost...again I can do four...

Ogryns...my skill with GS are improving and the latest shoulder pad, which I did a close up of was made from one piece in a matter of seconds. Very pleased with it.
