He Guy's,
I'm Confussed.....
The Bloodthirster has a 4+ save in his profile, but also has the Iron Hide Daemonic gift wich would grand him a 3+ save???
If I give my Daemon prince the Iron Hide option and the Mark of Tzeentch, does he have a 3+ save and an 4+ inv. save?

Yes, a DP with Iron Hide and MoT has both a 3+ armor save and a 4+ Invul. save.

All saves in the Daemon codex are invul saves...only the Iron Hide addition gives an armor save.

As noted in the DoC book, anytime you see a "save" mentioned it is an Invulnerable save, not an armour save.

Depends on the daemon; I think most daemons only come with a 5+ inv. A Daemon Prince of Tzeentch would have a 4+ Inv, and if you also gave him Iron Hide, he'd get a 3+ armor save too.

It depends on the daemon, as Mann said - the base Daemon save is 5++, and some get an improved save if they take MoT (Daemon Princes)

Not enormously useful most of the time but very handy against psycannons (where you lose your invulnerable but not your armour)

The quick way to remember what invul a daemon has is to go through 3 stages. Is it a non-tzeentch, non- GD? If so, 5+ Is it a tzeentch, non- GD OR a non-tzeentch GD? If so, 4+ Is it a Tzeentch GD? If so, 3+ EDIT: Or think: 5+ Base +1 if Tzeentch +1 if GD. Both stack.

Outwith HQ/Daemon Princes, I believe the only thing in the Daemon Codex which gets an armour save is Juggernauts of Khorne.
