Game Kastle's the best game shop in San Jose. I highly recommend it. In addition to carrying GW, PP, all sorts of RPGs, CCGs, and board games, they also carry a ton of other miniature makers, including resin stuff you often see in the News and Rumors page here like MaxMini and Armorcast.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack |

Just to echo DBM: Game Kastle is a great store. 40k is pretty common on Thursday nights & Sunday afternoons.

Hmmm yeah I think I've heard of this place before. I think I'll check it out when I get the time. This semester will be busy for me but it would be nice to squeeze in a few games here and there =).

If you are looking for competition and power gamers, go to Game Kastle. You won't be disappointed.
If you are looking for casual players who don't field competitive lists then go to Games Workshop Oakridge.

hmm are we talking WAAC players at game Kastle because if thats the case then I'll probably check out Oakridge. I mostly just want a place to chill out at as well when I play.

No, we're talking about very good, quality players. The type who goes to tournaments constantly. Well, some of them at least. If you want practice for a tournament or some competitive games, then GK is the place to go. Just a word of advise though, you should bring a balanced list there.
Otherwise, if you enjoy hobbying (including painting and building), shooting the breeze and playing an occasional game against very casual players and some newer players, then Games Workshop Oakridge is where you could go.
There's a couple other places, including Legends and a Games Workshop in Newark, but I'm not too familiar with them.
