As the title says, I am looking for a really nice model to paint just for the fun of it. I have been so caught up with batch painting that I want to test my skills to the fullest and was wondering what a good model would be to paint.

This is the model I just finished. As you can see, I am looking for a model with plenty of detailed areas.

Fantasy, 40k, or any other kind of ideas you can think of would be greatly appreciated as I am at a loss of what to choose!

Thanks!

Cain

If it doesn't have to be GW, find something from Infinity. Combined Army has some very unusual miniatures, which can be painted in tons of different ways.

Any Lord or hero out of the Warhammer Fantasy Range would suffice. They're all stunning models. Personally I've always wanted to paint a Slann Mage Priest. If you're up for some modelling you can make the Slaan special character, who's mounted on a Stegadon.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

+1

Since the model you posted was Rackham, why not find one of the top Confrontation sculpts?

Grab yourself either of the Worgs. The models are beautiful and imposing.
