First off, I a no conspiracy theorist.

But what is the deal with the NWO?

The documentaries are convincing, but then again I am not going to join some movement without verifying anything.

So I ask Dakka, who knows anything about the whole idea? I understand that 'the elite hold the real power, use presidents etc. as puppets, some elite banks hold the real power, trying to steal freedoms.

Anyone have concrete evidence or debunking evidence. Quite frankly the whole idea is alarming and saps all hope of regaining lost freedoms from my corrupt government.

Of course the elites hold power, that's what makes them elite.

It isn't so much a matter of ever regaining power, as realizing that you never had it to begin with.

Well, that, and power itself isn't quite so wondrous as most people think.

Yeah well I know I never had real power, but I do hope for regaining some things. Like the freedom to not rely on government inefficiency to take care of my health care.

And I mean a super elite, top 30 richest people ever.

Again, I don't endorse the idea, just want to know more.

Why worry about a crazy conspiracy theory? You should worry about real things, like whether Skyrim will be the greatest video game ever or why some people think the Civil War isn't over.

one world goverment is probably a good thing if done right, but if its not done right like if the nwo (if they even exist) screw it up then we might be in a bit of a doozy

I don't understand the OP (or many other thousands of people on the internet and IRL). Saying "Martians landed in my backyard" is just as crazy as saying "I totally don't believe in martians, but they just landed in my backyard!"

If you want to believe in crazy conspiracy theories, fine. It's a free country. Go be crazy all you want. But, don't go pretending you're not crazy. No one believes you.

If they knew they were crazy, that would be fine. But no one thinks they are. People are more willing to believe they're the single point of sanity in a completely crazy universe than accept that they're the crazy one.

Actually, I believe that it's held in common regard that a willingness to doubt your sanity is actually one of the indicators that you are relatively sane.
