If you want everything in a battleforce, more power to you. That's actually a pretty decent one as far as battleforces go. Not many Space Wolf players will ever use more than one squad of Wolf Scouts, and I can't think of any IG players aside from myself who have a knack for using Sentinels.

Personally, I love the daemon battlefor-....never mind

Yeah, the BA one is okay, but I heard it is a better buy to get a regular SM one and buy a box of death company with it. You get an additional 5 space marines AND 5 scouts for 20 bucks more in total. Unless you never field scouts for any of your SM armies. Then just get the BA one.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

The Vanilla one is a better buy because 1.) the Scouts and Combat Squad Marines are overpriced and 2.) It's older than the BA one, so it's subject to a slight price drop (it's 108 canadian vs the 120 canadian for the BA one. The Vanilla one also has an additional 20 something savings due to the combined cost of the Scouts and Combat Squad being considerably more than a DC box).

I think the regular one is a better deal but they are both good, better than most armys get. The problem with battle forces is that sometimes they get stuff you have no intention of using. For instance if I wanted to start off BA I wouldn't have much interest in the tactical or scout squads at all and would prefer just buying stuff separately and getting more assault marines. Same goes for the IG sentinel (just give me more Guardsmen), the Eldar guardians (just give me a finished squad of Dire Avengers), Khorne berserkers (more marines would be nicer), I don't remember the contents of all of them but I remember seeing that most of them have a box of something or other that isn't exactly useful to a new player's fledgeling army. I was told the old Cadian box had a Leman Russ in it. That would have been a bargain and then some.

What would Yeenoghu do?

Indeed it did. The old Nid Battle Force had a Fex in it (back when it was still good) and the old SM battle Force came with a command Squad and a Razorback.
