Hi all,

I recently bought 20 Heresy era jump packs from chapterhouse studios, they dispatched them on the 15th of january, how long do they usually take in the post? the only stuff I have ever ordered from the US was special courrier stuff so doesnt really apply (my battlefoam took about 3 weeks but that was including cutting the foam n all that).

Also bought some resin bases from back 2 bas-ix based in australia, bought on ebay but not sure how quick delivery should be, when should i expect my stuff?

any insight appreciated

Barring any hiccups with customs you should see the stuff any time now. 1-2 weeks is about the norm for US-UK and vice versa.

Well if good ole Gee Dubbya want to produce some decent heresy era jump packs i'll buy em but until that day CHS is the only place to get em, to my knowledge chapterhouse only fill the gaps in GWs product range its not like chapterhouse directly mimic a GW product.

I would agree with that. In my experience you can get very lucky -- I have received packages from the US in under a week. It normally takes longer, though.

i got sent minis from mealstom games in the uk, by regular mail it took them a week to get to me, i sent a small box from the gold coast to alice springs ( same country ) took longer then getting somthing from the uk.

point being uk postal system is alot better then Aust post

Even in the UK it's quite common to get parcels from oversea's quicker than from internal border post.

I Find the longest for some unknown reason seems to be Uk to Germany or the Netherlands.

Keep in mind that we offer the cheapest US Postal service, First Class shipping, in the US its not a big deal, parcels usually arrive in 2-3 days. On the USPS website I think it says international orders to the UK can take6-15 business days...

Then again I have had customers receive the order 7-8 weeks after we sent them...

Its hard to balance lower cost on shipping vs quicker when the cost to ship doubles. On our new website, the customers will have options of priority or first class shipping. If they want to pay the difference who am I to say no?

GEM takes 2-3 days unless it gets pulled for customs inspection in which case it's about a week.
GPM takes 7-10 days.
1st class is two weeks plus.

Hey Scott,

For UK first class small we only charge $6.00. I think the Priority would be $15 or so which would include handling cost for the labor.

Personally I find it hard to justify that cost if a customer is only buying $5-10 worth of bits. You would be suprised at how many do buy that size of an order.

I do agree with you though, we have a totally new website being designed at the moment and it will implement USPS source code to help with the shipping cost. Every customer will have the option of First Class or Priority mail, I dont want to tell them what they have to do.

$5-10, sure it really doesn't make sense. I've used USPS GPM for $15-20 stuff plenty of times in the past. (but then, I have no patience....)

I have ordered twice from back2basics. both time it took around 2 weeks to get to Iowa in the middle of the US from Aus. I would be concerned if it took more than 3 weeks and would contact them.
