I'm working on expanding my BA army, and so I have some questions.

So, I'd like to do a Razorspam list, but is razorspam competitive... or just a fun list?
If I do razorspam, it seems as though razorbacks don't come with a plasma-gun, so where might I find those?

They can be good just depends on what you're up against. Generally I would do a mix between assault cannons and twin-linked las just for variety and flexibility. I think some of the old razorback turrets used to have the turrets with the las/plas combo but other then that you could always just convert.

Las/plas razorbacks are where to go when spamming razorbacks.

Just make sure you take libby's with SoS and Fear.

Vindi's are not a bad choice either.

For las/plas razorbacks, just build the tl-lc, cut off one lc barrel and mod in 2 plasma guns. I think gw is still selling plasma gun blisters for like $8 US.

Or you can use the plasma guns from tac squads, since most people don't really use them anymore.

Or you can use the plasma cannon from the dev box, it has the plasma look, and isn't an option, so most people who are reasonable would accept it as TL plasma.

Chaos players are also a good source of plasma bits, as we get plasma guns in our basic troop boxes as well as plasma pistols, and get multiple plasma pistols in berserker boxes too.

Bringer, yes, SoS applies to vehicles.

SoS was faq'ed to affect vehicles.

There is some debate on whether rune priests storm caller does or not.

There are many sources, but for $20 US (including shipping) you can get 10 plasma guns and scrounge for the rest if needed.

Premise 1: Storm Caller was errata'd to use the exact same word for what it effects that SoS does.
Premise 2: SoS had been FAQ-clarified that it does indeed apply to vehicles.
Conclusion: SC also applies to vehicles.

IF gw followed precedent, then yes. Considering they don't, you can only assume, not conclude.

Otherwise, why not change the sw faq the same way that the ba faq was?

You've used this argument before; I rejected it then and I'm rejecting it now.

GW does make use of precedent; they just aren't very consistent about it, because they have poor editorial oversight. But it doesn't matter whether GW uses precedent or not. IF they had made a contradictory ruling, we'd have to throw up our hands and shake our heads. But they HAVEN'T made a contradictory ruling. So we can just use elementary deductive reasoning.

They didn't add the same ruling to the SW FAQ because their editors are nonexistent or poor.

They use precedent but aren't very consistent simply due to 'poor editing'? Ummm...that's a poor excuse.

Would these be the same editors from gw that convinced folks on the inat 'council' to arbitrarily change the deff rolla rule awhile back? And to only FINALLY faq it so that def rollas worked in a ram? Which you could have 'concluded' that it did based on the 'precedent' of the rules themselves?

Autarchs +1 stacking and IG astropaths not? That was due to 'poor editing' and did use 'precedent'?

RAW, GW hasn't made a ruling on the storm caller power, like usual. They did for SoS.

Yes, Razorspam BA is a brutal list, easily top tier IMO.

Take 4-6 razorbacks with las/plas or twin assault cannon. The twin assault cannon is the best all around weapon and on a fast BA platform is pretty awesome.

Mix in 6 predators and a close combat unit/character and you have a fantastic army.

I run my razor's with TL Las, I does just fine for me.
Run 3 Baal preds with AC and HB's.
Run 2 to 3 Preds with Auto Cannon and Lascannon spons.

Very tough list for opponent to deal with. I have quit playing this list for fun though. It's just too mean.

I also like running one of the baal's with flamestorm, it's a deadly fun weapon.

I have 2 TL las razors and 2 vindicators. List never fails to please.
