Considering release is about 2 months away, what was the point of this thread?
Anyway, who plans on buying it? The trailers I've seen so far look quite awesome so I'll probably pick it up some time or other, maybe after the prices fall with age.

I plan on buying it eventually depending on what exactly it has to offer. It's kinda low key compared to THQ's other games though...

Don't have the money to buy it, but I will rent it.
It looks ok, but there hasn't been that much info given out about it. (ie a trailer and a couple developer trailers/interviews)

I definitely will pick it up, especially if there's some form of co-op splitscreen. Looks surprisingly good in my opinion.

I hope it has an L4D style multiplayer on the PC.

The game is supposedly based on the Gears of War engine (Unreal 3 + the special Gears bits) which you can see pretty well if you watch the shooting sequences. This however is a rumor I've gotten from my rumor guy, who is wrong about as much as he is right.
If it is true, then they have a solid base to start from, and Space Marine and 40k would be ideal for a Horde hold-out style co-op mode.

I'm hoping for the same!
I'll pick it up regardless, but I know I can make another sale for them if there's online co- op support!

I know originally 4 player co-op was a selling point of it but that was before Relic took over and went the GoW route. Since then the multiplayer hasn't been talked about that much, which concerns me.

That's probably because the game itself hasn't exactly been talked about much.
Or for that matter, at all.

A cursory search found articles on IGN and Gamestop. There are also videos on Youtube. It isn't as exhaustive as Halo, but Relic and THQ have done some promotion for it. I don't accidentally know that the game was being made by one company then handed over to Relic and that Relic has had it undergone some changes since the initial game-play video.

Dude, its "hype" (so much as it is) is not even up to par with THQ's other games to be released in march (Retribution and Homefront most notably).

Yes, but what I meant was; they aren't really advertising it. I haven't heard anything (or rather, nothing has come to me) about it, and so I have "forgotten" to be interested enough to go search for it. You know what I mean?

In that context I agree. Considering the cost of advertising I wouldn't expect a major push until a month or two of a solid release date. There is a difference between information being available and hyping something, which is where the confusion comes in.

Exactly - it most likely is NOT coming out in March, so maybe that's why no one is hearing much about it?
I've even seen some release dates saying WINTER/December!

I read in a playstation magazine that there will be some Nids in the game. Not sure if they're right, but that's what was written.
