He there, I'm working on a list that is fun to play. So far it been pretty good. I've been winning/tying all my matches. But, I'm just lucky.

Anyways, I'm bad at seeing inherent flaws in my army, so I thought I'd throw it out to the world.

It's my own DIY Chapter who will remain nameless (unless I decide on a good name).

HQ

Forgefather Vulkan He'Stan 190

Captain Darnath Lsyasander 200

Elites

Terminator Assault Squad 400
+5 Terminators
- 5 SS/TH and 5 LC

Sternguard Veterans 310
+ Lightning Claw
+ Drop Pod
- Locator Beacon

Troops

10 man Tactical 270
+Teleport Homer
- Sgt w/PF Plasma Spistol
+ Flamer
+ Multi-melta
+ Drop-pod

10 man Tactical 245
+Teleport Homer
- Sgt w/chainsword
+ Meltagun
+ Multi-melta
+ Rhino
- HK Missel
- Storm Bolter

Fast Attack

Land Speeder 60
+Multi-melta

Land Speeder 60
+Multi-melta

Total: 1735

Now, if theres an extra one sitting about, I'll take a 3rd Drop Pod+Locator Beacon on my Tactical Squad, and swap the Multagun for another flamer.

I usually keep everything in reserves and deploy second. Drop my pods in weak spots. Lysander drops in with Sterngaurd to make them murder so hard. Vulcan drops in with a Tactical to purge with fire. My Land Speeders are tank hunters Deep Strike them near Locator Beacons. And I Deep Strike my Termies anywhere that help is needed, either with the Tact squads (Teleport Homer) or the Pods (Locator Beacon).

In Kill Point I keep all squads together. In capture, I split everything.

390 points seems a lot to tie up in 2 models. Would you get benefit by replacing one of them with a librarian for Null Zone?

I like how you use the drop pods to deep strike your termies where they need to be, that's a nice touch. It let's you put the termies right where they need to be to gain maximum effect, as you dont need to worry about them scattering on top of the enemy.

2 troops as 1750 is a slight gamble. I'm not saying it's impossible, but if there are 5 objectives you will have a hard time. Even a squad of scouts would help you in that regard. In fact, can you add scouts, drop a TAC squad, then add another stern guard squad?

hi,

your tac squads have too many upgrades I think, take only MLs and meltas or flamers with them and some combiweap with sergs. Your DP has locator beacon, so ill leave teleport homers in tac squads, You have 2 named HQs, so you need to choose whose chapter tactic you will use, better way is take as second HQ support one as Librarian or Chaplian or MotF if you want. Take some combiweapons with sternguards. You have only 2 scoring units, so dont send your tac with Dp in to centre of battle, in scenario with 4+ objectives it is too risky, stern vets, termies and speeders are quite enought for assault, put them into rhino or into Lasplaz razor for some fire support.

Well, I play tested it a bit more, and I think I'll replace Lysander with a Librarian.... though I'm not sure how to run him yet.... maybe take Tigirius?

Sternguard can shred enough as it is Lysander was just a points sink. Either take an epistolary, Tigurius is overkill, or a Chaplain in TDA to go with the Assault squad. Re-rolls to hit is so crucial for ATerminators since they will be going after the toughest things your opponent has which a lot of time are MEQ so 62.5% is a lot better than 50%, Especially with the extremely high chances to wound with both LC re-rolls and TH strength. Scouts are your friends with those points saved from Lysander and dropping some un-needed wargear. I run sniper scouts with cc in my list to sit on obj's, yay 2 + go to ground cover saves. You can also run them with combi-melta's as they are frequently ignored even when you infiltrate them.

Not a bad idea... I did just model a Chaplain in TDA. What wargear would you avoid? I want to keep the THs and flame weapons.... they just make Vulcan more and more worth while.
