So as far as everyone knows, Grey Knigts are one fo the most eccentric chapters of adeptus astartes and, as our brother astartes, they have pure geneseed, but no primarch..
As far as I know, After the Istvaan massacre incident, and together with garro, the survivors of Istvaan incident created the first foundings of the Grey Knigths, for even their chapters (Emprerors childreen, luna wolves, death guard etc) fell to chaos, these survivors did not and so they swear to create a brotherhod under a banner to hunt down chaos and deamons to get their revenge.

So, guys is that true or false? and if false what is the true origin of the Grey Knights?

I reckon ur right, but i also though that te sisters of silence had something to do with the order? and what happened to the saint keela?

Rumor has it they use Emperors gene seed - basically Emperors clones

I like the idea of Emperor gene seed. I think that Garro's merry band of astartes will serve as a hardcore of captains and commanders, not actual GKs but the inner circle if you like. They will form the Inquisition and organise the GKs.
I am interested to see who the first Inquisitorial High Lord of Terra will be...

Grey Knights were formed after the Heresy during the 2nd founding.
Their geneseed comes from the Emperor's DNA (Apparently) and each one of them is a psyker to some degree.

hmm..According to Lexicanum :

"It is suggested at the end of the novel Flight of the Eisenstein that Garro, Qruze, and Amendera Kendel may be the first members of the newly formed Inquisition. The Regent of Terra, Lord Malcador, tells Garro that "The Imperium requires men and women of inquisitive nature, hunters who might seek the witch, the traitor, the mutant, the xenos...a duty to vigilance" "

If so, then it is not directly grey knights, but he affected it relatively, because in a fact they create the foundings of the Inquisition, and Grey Knightsis a body of Inquisition, then yes.
By the way, yes the emperors gene seeds they use.

They create the inquisition but i don't think they created the Grey Knights, they may have had something to do with the decision about it but i think that's it.

It is very vague, the way it has been presented, it does not sound as if the survivors where the first grey knights, or that they started the grey knights straight away. A more logical idea would be forming the inquisition and its branching first, then once they work out how to fight the enemies of man effectively, then they start the military wings of the orders much later.

And no, it is not a fact that they use the Emperor's DNA as a base for geneseed but a rumour.

In the excerpt of the Garro Audiobooks which were given out at gamesday (I haven't heard the full story yet), Garro wears grey power armour and when asked what legion he belongs to, he replies by saying he belongs to none of the existing legions and is now in a legion of his own. So there might be more to the idea he created the Grey Knights than you think. Has anyone read, or heard rather, the new Garro books by chance?

Apart from the fact that pre-heresy Death Guard armour is grey and that as he hates the Death Guard for betraying the Emperor he would say he was not part of it.

The Ultramarines in the excerpt are confused by his armour having not seen it before, hence why they ask him what legion he belongs to.
