Ive heard rumors that there will be a dark eldar battleforce


I think it will have 10 kabalites, 6 wyches, 3 reavers and a Raider


What d'you guys think it will have in it if it comes out?

Sounds like a reasonable battleforce. Where'd you hear about it?

Why would they have 6 wyches? It's a box of 10 normally, so the sprues probably don't divide up like that. Surely more likely to be 10 warriors, 10 wyches, then 3 reavers and/or a raider.

Warriors and Wyches definately have to come in sets of 10, since all of the bodies are on one sprue while most of the legs and arms are on the other. There's no way to split it up without making a new mold (which GW never does, at least not for a BF).

But hey. Considering the Blood Angels are getting a battleforce in their second wave, I think it's not a bad assumption that we'll see a battleforce with it.

Deffinately would have to be 10 Wyches but anyway, I'd love to see this. It sounds like a nice place to start for the army.

As to what the new one will have, only time can tell but you can expect two troops, a raider, and something else I'd say. Gotta be something plastic.

on the subject of the 6 wyches I know it doesnt make much sense but they did it with just the standard eldar battleforce by only including 5 dire avengers when a box contains 11. so i just thought maybe it might have 5-6 wyches instead of ten

And yes, Wyches come on a single sprue of 10, so it's unlikely they'd split that up for a Battleforce. Dire Avengers are 5 to a sprue and a box of 10 contains 2 sprues, so that has no bearing on Dark Eldar Wyches.

It's spelled "Luxury Yacht", but it's pronounced, "Throat Wobbler Mangrove". Apologies to Monty Python.

It took Blood Angels roughly a year to get their Battleforce, so it may be premature to get all excited about a Dark Eldar Battleforce if you're building that army NOW. But it would help people down the road when they start the army anew or want to greatly increase the size of an existing one.

I don't believe about 6 Wychesm in a battleforce. They would need to recut the sprue, it's a pointless expense. If GW makes a battleforce box I guess the infantry units will have 10 minis, the usual sprue.

I asked a GW staff about this, and he said there probably will be one, but not within the next year and a half/2 years, as they basically re-did the entire range and forever money minded GW want to make sure that they make no new things that will not bring in plenty of cash, and they already spent lots on the new DE.
The reported battleforce contents sounds good though, as Reavers are quite expensive usually. But as BrassScorpion said, the Wyches (Yes Kroothawk, Wyches, not Witches) would be complicated to split into separate into sprues, I think it would make more sense to get Hellions instead of Reavers and more Kabalites- And no Wyches.

I'm actually betting on the kit being a rather good deal. Here's what I'd like, personally:

x10 Wyches
x1 Raider
x5 Hellions
(something else, possibly jet bikes, maybe scourges. A unit of warriors would be nice too)

I can't see it coming out any time soon though. Probably mid next year, if not later. Although BA got their battleforce roughly nine months after the codex, so anything's possible.

I once heard from a store manager about this thing called wishlisting. I asked him when it would be released. He said every month of every year.

Yeah I can see this as a certainty. They will get one but as people pointed out it will not be 6 wyches. My guess would probably be 10 kabalites, 10 wyches, 5 hellions and a raider.

Thinking it would be unlikely to be 3 reavers and a raider again, think GW would probably want to mix it up but still keep the dedicated transport in there.

A good Battleforce would be 10 Warriors, 10 Wyches, 5 Hellions and 2 Raiders. It would emphasise the fast assault theme of the Dark Eldar, and would come out at 85 pounds, higher than the usual 80 but lower than the Space Marines' 90.

You'd never get two vehicles. Cut back one of the Raiders and you're probably about there. Maybe Reavers for the Helions.

There is always the possibility that GW bring out plastic Wracks, so it maybe Wracks instead of Wyches.

I said 85 (87.5 post-VAT increase), not 95.

Cut back one of the Raiders and you're down to £67 for £60, making it the worst value of all GW's Battleforces.
