Do the thousand sons sorcerers (those guys who lead a squad) have the abilty to have 2 spells? As the mark of tzeetch allows all other casters to take up 2 spells?
I'm just wondering, because the codex doesn't say we can't, nor does it say we can...

I've always played them with being able to take two spells. I think in their rules it says something along the lines of "aspiring sorcerers must take at least one power". Which implies them being able to take more than one.
And I guess if someone is really giving you a hard time you can just slap a familiar on them.

Due to the wording you can only take one power, since if you read what the part for psychic powers for a demon prince and chaos sorcerer state, and the fact that the listing for the aspiring sorcerer doesn't.
You can, however, use two psychic powers that aren't shooting attacks, so have at it. Gift of chaos their commanders into fun size.

I don't think you can use any particular psychic power twice per turn, unless it specifies so in the caster's rules (for example ahriman/tigurius/eldrad). You could use the aspiring sorcerer's power, then take a psychic test to use his force weapon however.

Moving to YMDC.
The T-Sons rules (p.37 and 98) specify that they have the Mark of Tzeetch.
The rules for the Daemon Prince and Sorcerer units (p.92, 93) specify that if they have the Mark of Tzeentch they may select an additional power, but this is in contrast to the T-Son unit rules (p.98), which state that the Aspiring Sorcerer can must be given one power, and give no option for him to select another.
Edit: THIS NEXT BIT IN ITALICS IS WRONG- ignore it! Sadly, none of the above can use more than one power in a given player turn. The old Mark of Tzeentch in the previous Chaos Codex allowed that. Nowadays it's just a special ability of the Black Staff of Ahriman, that he can use three powers in a turn.
Note that the restriction on how many powers you can use is one per player turn, however. So if a Sorcerer with Mark of Slaanesh Lashes on your turn, he can still use his Force Weapon on your opponent's turn.

Not true, Mannahnin. Top paragraph on pg. 88 of C:CSM.
A psyker may only attempt to use one psychic power per turn. The only exception to this is a model with the Mark of Tzeentch, which can attempt to use up to two psychic powers per player turn (but not two powers that both count as firing a weapon, as models can only fire one weapon per Shooting phase).
It's tucked away where you can't really see it too easily, but it's what allows Tzeentch Daemon Princes to cause craziness, and gives Aspiring Sorcerors some more power (Warptime + Force Weapon).

Good catch! I stand corrected!
Nice work of GW, there, putting effects of the MoT in three different places in the book.

Yup. Aspiring Sorcerers can only pick one power, although as somerandomdude pointed out, per p88, MoT allows using two powers per turn, so you can use their purchased power and activate their force weapon in the same turn.
