What units are ork burnas good at taking out.
I have a squad of 5 including a mek. Could that squad be used as a big advantage?

15 in a wagon are killer, drive by a unit, place a flamer template and multiply the hits by 15............usually takes care of them

or use the power weapons to kill marines

Yes, 15 burnaz in a wagon is great, and 2 of said wagons is awsome. However; after you pull this the first time, dont expect to do it so easliy again.
I did this on my first game of the tourney, and the wagons never made it off the start line after that. I even had biker nobz as a fire magnet. lol

^^^ This.

Battlewagon (with Deff Rolla naturally) full of Burnaz and a Big Mek with a Burna and KFF are a real deathstar.

Keep them in the wagon as long as possible where they're most effective. I've nuked full squads of MEQ with them in 1 turn of shooting.

The power weapon side of them is great against enemies with powerfists like shooty terminators.

Honestly I don't see the value in a Mekboy. Burna's are one of those units that in the right situation, with the right support they can be the most brutal unit on the board.

Must have:
vehicle transport (for use and abuse of the "Open Topped" benefit)

Vehicle Options:
Battlewagon: can have the full 15 Burnas on board, pluse extra's
Looted Wagon w/ Scorcha: loose 3 Burna's for 1 Str 5 AP 4 template

Works well with :
Big Mek with Scorcha/Burna - provides support when running a KFF, plus you get an extra template
Ghazghull - Gazzy will draw the attention in an Assault, leaving you to PW your target

Dump the mek and up the squad size. 5 burnas on foot are going to go *poof* before you find your template and basic mekboys are an excuse to make you buy more Loota/Burna boxes to get enough weapons for a decent squad of either. As others have said, burnas love to ride around in open-topped vehicles for those nasty drive-by flamings and a Big Mek isn't a bad choice to fill that empty seat in the back.

If you could put them in a trukk, I imagine they would. As it stands, they can't buy a truk, and attempting to do a first turn jump in a boyz truck is a recipe for disaster. It is also more expensive than just buying a wagon, as the now foot slogging boyz are unlikely to do anything (and truck boyz weren't exactly the most effective unit even with the truck, they lack the toughness and offense of nobz and numbers of horde boyz).

Yeah the trukk idea isn't the best one.
