What is the ork trukk troop capacity?
I'd like to know before I buy it.

This really should be in your codex. Try looking there first next time. Dakka is not a substitute for your book.

That being said, it's a number between 11 and 13.

OP joined Dakka 3 days ago. There is no reason to think OP even owns the Codex... or know what a Codex IS.

If OP started with the AOBR kit, which is quite a reasonable assumption, it does not have a Trukk in it, and I'm not sure if that info is in the mini book that comes with it.

Seems easier to either supply the info without being rude, or refrain from answering at all.

I don't know if I'd go that far. If he's posting on here he can reasonably be expected to know what a codex is. The main rulebook tells him, even if all he has is AoBR. The shrunk-down rulebook which comes with AoBR has all the same rules as the big book; it just lacks the color fluff and modeling and hobby sections.

That being said, yes, it's generally nice to be nice to new posters.

That's not entirely true. We do that all the time. But it is against the rules to use this forum as a substitute for actually owning a rulebook.

As soon as I hit enter I realised that was inaccurate. Using the forum to substitute for a rulebook = bad. Genuinely not understanding a rule, so quoting the minmum to convey the issue = good.

All I'm saying is, someone has 400 posts and asks what the transport capacity of a trukk is, warrants that tone, and someone who joined Dakka 3 days ago maybe doesn't.

Of course, the better route would have been to respectfully suggest the OP will need a codex if he wants to build a legal army, and if he does actually have one, offer help in understanding where to find the information.

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

Oh yes, especially seeing how the Ork Codex is pretty messy before you manage to get a handle on it. Trukks are described on page 41, after the orks they usually carry. The army list entry with prices and options is on page 100 after gretchins.

Y'know that the Trukk listing on GW's site tells you everything you need to know, ya?

Ouze is right: I don't have the codex yet and started on aobr, I'm a simply noob asking questions before he splashes $50 on an ork trukk.

BTW I do know what a codex is.

I also feel bad about this whole post because, as Bookrack said, the capacity is even on the website staring me right in the face.

I'm sorry If I caused a fuss, even If I didn't know it was illegal to supply info straight from a Codex.

As a side note, you have GOT to get a trukk, or even more then one. I'd consider them to be an essential unit for any Ork army that isn't biker based or some other theme. Your boyz are flimsy enough without them having to hoof it 48". Should probably be the first model you get after AOBR.

Eh, I honestly wouldn't say that this is true. The carrying capacity is too limiting IMO for orks and they are far too easy to kill. Battlewagons would be a much safer bet as you have a much high transport capacity and are tough enough that you don't risk being strung out across the board.

Though if you do choose to go with trukks I'd get at least 4-6 of them as only 1-3 trukks is ridiculously easy to kill.
