Hello all.
I am painting my Dark Eldar and I am having a huge problem with getting a decent looking flesh tone. I want them pale looking but everything I am doing is making them look to... human. A lot of guides I have read usually use Dhreb Stone and then do either an Ogryn Flesh wash or a Leviathan Purple wash. After the wash, they then perform what is called a "highlight" with the Dhreb Stone again.
My question is... what the heck exactly is a "highlight"? Is that drybrushing? I've trying drybrushing it and it makes it look awful. I have also tried using the brush with a nice amount of paint on the brush but then it just destroys what the wash did previously. Is there some technique that I am misunderstanding? Anyone have any tips/pointers/videos that shows me exactly how to do "highlighting"?
