Oh wow. I see a lot of good stuff there, The skin and how well the eye's are done. Mine is just white blots but those models are much better than mine.

Of course I have yet to learn how to paint marines or human faces well since almost all my experience is nothing but Orks.

Great looking minis!

If you don't mind, how did you paint the bone color on the skull-helmet of the chaplain?

Thanks for the comments! The skull-helm was done in a basecoat of khemri brown and then black washed (badab black). I then went over with khemri brown again leaving all the shadowed areas untouched. A highlight of khemri brown and Dheneb Stone (1:1) was done followed another highlight of plain Dheneb Stone. A final highlight of White and Dheneb stone (1:1) was done. Remember to always leave some of the colour you painted previously showing when you are applying the highlights (I messed this up a bit in this one) and use thin coats of paint; watered down to a milky consistancy but remains opaque and be sure not to overload the brush (I like to dab an empty spot on the palette to remove excess paint).

For faces I use Dwarf Flesh, Brown Wash, Reapply Dwarf Flesh leaving shadows, Dwarf Flesh/Elf Flesh (1:1), then a final highlight of Elf Flesh. Although, that's how I think I did it for this one! The scar was done with Elf Flesh and a tiny bit of Mechrite Red.

The GW guide is a good start for practicing faces:

Nice glowing eyes, my attempts at glowing eyes always end in fail. Epic fail. How did you do yours?

The eyes and eye sockets started off very dark from the Black Wash applied to the Khemri Brown when painting the skull.

Dark Angel Green was painted over the entire area of the eye lense, then snot green over about 50% of the eyes leaving the inner part dark. Then Scorpion green around the bottom and side edges of the eyes, cover about half of the snot green you just did. Finally Scorpion Green and Skull White (1:1) as a thin line along the bottom edge of the eyes and up around the side a bit. A single dot of Skull White is then done on the outer edge of the eyes. The glow effect below was a thin coat of scorpion green on the areas below the eye and a mix of Scorpion Green and Skull White is applied as a thin line along the eye socket.

Im painting a Legion of the Damed squad at the moment which will have green glowing eyes like this one but I don't think they turned out as good. It does look ok against the red armor I've given them though.

The last BT is just awesome. Well done!

I don't like the robed one, it feels out of place next to the other two.
