I've always wanted to do and army in Blue with Flames (or maybe lightening).

Here is some preliminary work, but everything is up for debate, including the color of the flames and whether the Blue is on the fatigues vs. on the armor and what the other color would be (Black, grey, beige, something else?)

Input would be greatly appreciated!

I think beige would work well for fatigues; namely a light beige. Dheneb Stone is what I'd recommend. This is a funny scheme but I don't know if that's what you were going for. Looks like something I'd see at a hotrod convention.

Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

I think it brings a certain contrast level upfront...

btw, how'd you get the guardsmen on the back right?

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

they look cool, keep the blue to the armour and try a khaki, ochre or light brown for the fatigues.thats just my opinion though.by the way the flames look good.

Yeah, I'm trying to find a balance between utterly un-subtle and trying to not look like a space marine.

Those are the "Cadian at Rest" which I believe are limited editions. I was going to do a diorama with them as honor guards but never got around to it. I like that they are metal and easy to strip, so they end up being test models. The pose really lends itself to that.

Thanks! I'll have to try a few more test models.

If you are going to paint numbers on the guardsmen, you could paint them under the flames... Do you know what I'm saying(writing)?

Heh, I actually forgot about squad markings! I've never bothered before since I mark the back of the base for my own organization, but maybe I should start...
