So i recently decided to take an endevor into a Blood Angels army, and one of my friends from my local game shop decided to just pile me up with models to get me started... There are four models i was unable to readily identify, one turned out to be the old version of Lemartes, however the other three i am unsure of what they are and would really appreciate some help in figuring out what models they are? If they are even blood angels at all?

A: May be nothing special but a modelled marine, but he appears to be unique?

B:

C:

Any help on figuring out what these models are would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

#1. Random plastic model covered in bits and painted with a trowel. Plasma pistol and powerfist and covered in purity seals like a newlyweds car with bog-roll.
#2. Chaplain model. Looks like BA possibly Death company.
#3. Another Chaplain model (skull mask is pretty typical of chaplains, it's one of their 'badges of office').

I'm going with a loin cloth for #1.
#s 2 and 3 are definitely chaplain models or models with chaplain heads. The Crozius Arcanium in #3 is also a giveaway.

Not for long. The polar bears are riding the melting glaciers south in search of penguin-steaks.

#2 is the chaplain that came with the Death Company box set when it was all second edition metal models. He's been modified with the plasma pistol, as originally he had a boltgun

Okay, yeah as far as i can tell the two chaplin models are full metal, but they are blood angels chaplains seems to be the consensus....

Are they still legal to use? Not sure if they are any good in a BA army now a days (still reading the codex, only been a Necron player until now) but could i field them without getting ragged on?

Cool guys, thank you, He pretty much just sat there and threw stuff in a box like "take this, you'll need one of these, heres Dante, heres Lamertes, heres a few of these, take my Assault on black reach models oh and heres a couple apothcaries (i assume to use as sanguinary priests)" and so on, so i have been spending the day just figuring em all out.

He actually hooked me up with the two models i was looking forward to painting, the Chaplain in termie armor and the new Lamertes model (he also gave me most of the old version of the model)

I cant complain, i pretty much got a decent starting force for free, plus MOST of a land raider and a couple Rhinos, and like 9 assault marines with jump packs, i did not get any optional bits for anything, or a choice of how they were modelled, but like i said i cant complain. I went and bought me a box of death company and a librarian and figure i am sitting pretty decent with things to play around with until i can afford some dreadnaughts and Stormravens... I am excited for some Stormravens *weg*

He did throw in a standard bearerer (not sanguinary) just a normal marine with a standard, as far as i can tell there is no need for a standard bearer in normal infantry units.

Are they GW models? Yep.
Are they suitable for use in a BA army? Yep.

Legal? That's up to the TO. They can ban ALL red and grey marines if they want to.

In a GW tourney? Should be. If the GW people don't know their own models, they don't deserve to be running the event.

The first guy looks like one of the Multi-plastic kit Commander, is he plastic?

It sounds like you have a lot of chaplains! I suppose if you are using death company you could use them as sergeants if you lose the Crozius as you won't be able to use loads of them.

As far as I know standard bearers aren't much use for 40K but I could be wrong as I play chaos and we use icons. I have never played against any marine players who use standard bearers, I just thought they were used more for aesthetic reasons.

Chapter banners and such do exist for loyalists.
Generally only in command squads so they don't often see use.
