Subject: Physical impact of Drop Pods on gaming environment?

Clumsy title... sorry. A few questions...
1. Can you draw LOS through a landed pod?
2. Assuming the landed pod obscures the view somewhat, does it yield a cover save to things on the other side?
3. Does the drop pod count as difficult terrain (not including the unit's original disembarkation). If so, is it the open doors, or just the main body?
4. Does an open pod give any cover save to troops hanging around in it? I'm not suggesting that they can reembark, but if they hang around the hull after it's down and open does it give you a cover save?
Thanks. New to pods and I'm going to need to have the rules down pat for an upcoming tournament.

1) If you can draw LOS, you can draw LOS. Like with every other model in the game...
2) As with every other thing in the game, check using true LOS.
3) No, it is impassable terrain, like any model. Most people exclude the petal doors as counting for anything, as they just block too much board otherwise
4) Same as anything else in the game - if they are obscured using true LOS, then they claim a cover save.
Treat them how you treat anything else in the game, with the suggested exception for 3

To point 4, the drop pod would become "area terrain" if it became wrecked I reckon. THEN you'd maybe be able to claim a cover save. Until then, the drop pod is "alive", and you'd have to check using LOS as normal.

Got it. So once the pod doors open the occupants *must* exit stage left (at least as far as the doors) and may not "enter" the body of the pod (like to walk from one side to the other).
Question #4 was more aimed at if you had someone standing in the body of the pod once it was down, which apparently you can't do, so the point is moot.
Thank you!

You can go back inside if it is later wrecked, but it counts as dangerous and difficult terrain.
