Lustful Cultist of Slaanesh

I've often wondered that to myself. I mean, some of them its fairly simple I would think. The IG would live life like in a normal barracks in today's world, with slight variations towards the Emperor. Or the Space Marines, they would act like a priest hood of sorts? Monasteries and such...

But what about Orks, they can't fight all the time can they? Some of kind structures... Something.

Or Chaos, the various forces of chaos, do they just exist, do they eternally war with each other for Khornites, but if they did that there would be none left? Would Slaanesh's followers just revile in excess the whole of the day or is there something to it. Tzeentch would just wait idly by for the next engagement, thinking about the universe?

With all the mutations chaos is likely to end up with, how do they eat, what do they eat. All of that.

Sure they chain up the dreadnoughts and let them go even crazier. But the possessed?

What are your takes on it? Or is there any actual information out there to read about it?

SM change according to the chapter but they usually function similar to a priesthood with lots of training...
IG have R&R time but if they are active they're usually on garrison duty.

Short answer: There is only war.

Long:Most playable force fight everyday.
Tho,it is vary in some part.
Space Marine are simple,War or Training& Pray.
Inquisitor have off duty time unlike other forces. But Its not much it seems.
Some gurdsmen can "retire" alive. But I did never found about off.

Ork want war. If no war around, they go find another war.
Most other force is doing never ending war. Bit diffrent but same as Orks, they'll try find war.

Tau is exception I think.
They would have normal life.

I much prefer the Angry Marine version of that on 1D4chan.

Probably shouldn't link to it given the language but you all know how google works....

gak ! The life of a Space Marine is damn boring! No wonder they always wanna go to war!

Orks were literally made for fighting, and cannot/will not stop, until they're dead. If they have no non-Ork enemies, they'll kill each other.
Same with Chaos, pretty much. There's constant infighting in the EOT between rival factions and followers of different gods.
And as for the IG, they go:
Home world -> troopship where they are trained -> first battle/war -> next battle/war -> next battle/war ->...etc until either all of them (in that particular group) are dead or whittled down to such small numbers that they have to be mixed with another regiment.
Sometimes, and the fluff says this is very rare, the Guardsmen/regiment is allowed to stay on and garrison the world they just fought over, if they fought hard and honorably enough and all that. Also, they can just be allowed to stay on the planet and retire.
They very rarely, if ever, see their home planet again or stop fighting.

Hi there, I'm an hole! =D

"Links disintegrate--
Bolt clanks back and forth behind the thudding roar--
Brass rains on the sidewalk--
The 'sixty rattles out its song.
A song I first heard years ago--
Of fireteams dug in on the breaks between the paddyfields, of tracer lasering the jungle night, of Hueys screaming through the void--
Of Lieutenant Castle getting short and hating it, wanting 'Nam to last forever--
A lullaby come all the way to New York City--
Come to sing you to sleep."
-The Punisher

Yay for Mech IG with Daemonhunter and kroot allies! Planning on 5000+ pts very soon!

If the Imperium were to ever manage to achieve a time of (relieve) peace, I think it would fall apart. The common folk would be so tired of living in such a cesspit of a government they would rise up. If the Imperium didn't have enemies to fight, it's existence is no longer justified.
