This list looks very very solid in my eyes, it's not meant to be a competitive list but it's fielding units I like.

Any suggestions? I think I should add 10 Grots since I can't think of anything else to add.

Spend the 20 points to make the other kans Rokkits, give the Mek a cybork body, and buy three big shootas for the boyz (or three grot assistants, although 3 grots for 6 kans is a little silly), and that's a heckuva list.

In fact, consider it looted!

I think you miscalculated your points. When I add it up, I get the boyz sqauds to 214 each, or am I counting it wrong? Either way the list looks very good, and with Doctor Optimals adjustments it could do very well I think.

I really don't get how it adds up to 220. 29 Boyz cost 174, and the Nob costs 40.Where do the extra 6 points come from? I'm not saying you are BOTH wrong, because I probably am wrong. Now I'm just curious as to what it is I am missing.

30 Boyz = 180 points.

1 Boy is upgraded to a Nob. Now it's 190 points.
The Nob is given a PK. Now it's 215 points.
The Nob is given a BP. Now it's 220 points.

Hence why there's 29 Boyz and 1 Nob, one of the Boyz needs to be upgraded to a Nob.

Oooh, I see. You just wrote it in a different system than I usually do. I usually write it as "30 Boyz (1 Nob /w whatever)", But now I get it =)

Dr Optimal sounds about right, although don't give the boyz big shootas, as they are slugga boyz, and so will be running (so they can close quickly) not hanging back and shooting.

As for other suggestions, try re-structuring the boyz mobs so you have 3 or 4 units of 20, rather than 2 units of 30, simply because that way you can
a) claim more than 2 objectives
b) be able to adapt to unforseen events better
c) cover more of the table.

Hmm, good point, I'll see what I can figure out.

I looked over this army, and though, "If I was playing 1k points, I'd want to get as close to 1k as I could",
so I modified it a bit, and here it what I came up with as an alternative that is still under 1k
