Just finally picked up the last few vehicles for my 1850-2000 DE today. Two store tournaments this month as well.
Don't you love finishing the collecting part of your initial force? Knowing that now you can go out and play full games!
I love it.

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

Well, I have to update my Grey Knights in a couple of months, then it's true, 2nd wave for DE will have me buying more stuff.
It's just cool to actually be able to play full size games with the elves now though.

Honestly I don't ever think an army can be finished. The amount of "additions" i've made to my Templars over the years is staggering!

There are a "last few models" that you can buy for an army? Outstanding! How do we get in on this?!

Buying your last few models is like an addict saying "just one more hit, I can quit at any time".....
I quit Warhammer back in 1997, and every few years I start back up...

I don't really think the point of this thread was that there was an end to buying an army (because we all know there's more purchases to be made).
But it was "how awesome is that feeling when you finally have enough models to field your army a good point level with a respectable list that does not involve proxies". Which is an incredible feeling.
I am still waiting on pieces of my Necrons order to come in and I haven't had much time to assemble/paint but last night I was able to finally fully assemble 1,000 points worth. I was so elated that I can finally field some type of game without proxies that I almost kept going til I could assemble 1500 but I had so much glue on my fingers at that point there was a great chance I'd glue a Destroyer to myself.

I get what the OP is saying, where you get the last tank and say "There, I can play at 1850 without maxing out my Wargear!"
But also, the idea of actually being finished with an army is pretty foreign to me.

Oh, we all get what the OP is saying, we're just making fun of the idea that no army is ever really "finished" until you sell it off-even if you have that last piece you need for an 1850, you may get beaten and switch something out, then "oops": you need a new model for your 1850 list still. It's the way of the game

Is it possible to end you collection? o.0
And yes, I like going to the store and buying a new battleforce and then seeing my opponents ''suddenly'' buying more orks or anti-infantry stuff.
