Hello Dakka!
I just got my Death Korps today and let me start by saying....WOW...These guys are amazing. The detail and everything is just great! I've heard of the horrors of resin but so far so good!

First things first, before I dive into this huge resin pile, I need help with my paint scheme! I thought this would be the easy part...HAH!

It's hard to tell from the lighting but its vallejos take on catachan green for the armor!

As you mentioned, it's rather hard to see much due to the lighting, so I will wait for the better photos before I comment on that.

I do love the DKoK models though, so I look forward to seeing your progression

Here we are, some better lighting!
Once again...please excuse my painting...

I'm kinda finding myself drawn more to the Green/Tan guy.

Alright, after some thought I decided to go with the Tan/Green scheme. I think they look pretty good so far, only about 70% done with them...Next update will be the whole squad finished and then we'll get to work on the rest! Looking forward to some feedback or any questions!

Gosh, those are some nice fething models.

Expensive though. I looked at the prices on forgeworld...blech.

Very nice job on the painting....Keep the pics coming.

Those look great!

How do find the quality of the models? Are there lots of flash and warping?

The quality of the models really suprised me, they were a LOT better then I thought they would be. A few bent guns and stuff, but all you have to do is put them in some hot water for 20-30 seconds and then gently bend them back into place. A few super tiny holes in some of the coats, but I think it kinda makes them look a little worn and cool and if you didn't want them you could easily fill them with some green stuff. Mold lines aren't bad at all, i've seen worse GW mold lines. Here are some pics...Nothing a hobby knife and a file can't fix!

*EDIT* the biggest problem I've had is cutting them off the sprues damages their feet because the resin is kinda brittle, but they're easy to shave down, and will probably be covered with whatever you base it with anyway.
