I've got an army of Necrons that I decided last night to rebuild, I am wondering if it safe to soak them in simple green because of their faus tubes, will the simple green hurt them at all? Or could I just paint over the areas that I want to paint over?

You might want to remove the tubes anyways, because you don't want them covered when you prime. I used a pair of rubber nosed pliers to gently grab them and give them a slight twist to break the glue bond and then they pop right out. The tubes for Immortals and destroyers were a little harder, but a sharp probe let me get in and pop them out.
