K Dakka! me and a fellow dakka member are trying to build a Ork All Bike Nob biker army , but ran into some trouble.

The models that needs to be built are:
--HQ--
1x – Warboss: Power Klaw, Bike and Attack Squig.

1x – Warboss: Power Klaw, Bike and Attack Squig.

--TROOPS--
10x - Nob Bikers: 4 with Power Klawz, 3 with Big Choppaz, 2 with Choppaz and 1 Painboy all have cybork bodies (except the Painboy), stikkbombs and a Waaagh Banner.

10x- Nob Bikers: 4 with Power Klawz, 3 with Big Choppaz, 2 with Choppaz and 1 Painboy all have cybork bodies (except the Painboy), stikkbombs and a Waaagh Banner.

The immediate concern is the cost. We need to keep it low as in buying the essential Biker box set and hopefully not too many Nob Box set to fill in the WYSIWYG wargears...

Any ideas guys?

AOBR requires quite extensive conversions , and still require some sort of bits to fix on to the arms.
Seems like everyone is stomped on what to do minus purchasing extra box sets -_-

As far as cheap, yea the AOBR koptas and a dollar store are the only ways you can keep its cost down. ITll take awhile as far as conversions go, but at least you can build them for fairly cheap going that route. Hell, Ive seen 3 of those go for under $10 on Ebay, and then you figure a couple 3 dollar store toys for wheels and random bits. You can have 3 bikes done for under $15.

Barring that idea, your going to have to suck it up and pay cash like it falls out of your nose

I wold buy Nob torsos off of ebay. They are about $1.00 each. You don't want to be cutting apart nob bodies to get the torsos. You get a PK and a choppa in each bike box. So All you would need to do is either buy a PK or another choppa and two torsos.

If you need a warboss you can mod one up like my wazdakka:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/328724.page

Cost me parts of a trukk, deffa rolla, warboss, and a deffcopta.

Or you can wait till I am desperate for cash and buy my bikes and wazdakka.

Better and cheaper idea? Do snakebites... use the boar boy kit and some plasticard, it's how i made mine and they're only $25 for 5, use boar boy legs on a nob torso and you're set!

P.S. The boars are big enough that they don't look weird as well!

Boarboyz on Cyboars. In Canada it's 5 Boarboyz for 30, 3 Warbikers for 50. If you can convert them you can save alot on money.

Boar idea is abit hard to do. If the army is snake bite , i agree its absolutely perfect. But atm i need to take into consideration the squad also has cybork body... so need more tech and less feral :'/

You could always have the Orks being intergrated into the Boars themselves, and just glue lego or cheap dollar store wheels on their legs to make a quasi-centork-bike dude, and write it off as the local mad dok having gone on some sewing escapade again.

Make the Attack Squigs for the Warbosses the wheels of the bike. THAT would be awesome.

Other than bits sites are where to go. I always check the WarStore first, you never know what they have.

And asking in the Swap Shop never hurts, either. I got a few needed shoulder pads there.

http://stores.ebay.com/Hoard-O-Bits

He is the best on ebay. Some people have said they have had problems but he has around 10,000 positive feedback to around 25 negative. That is acceptable for me. I have sold stuff on ebay before and you always have a certain percentage of people who go against the grain.

Here is a bunch of nob torsos:

http://cgi.ebay.com/40K-Ork-Boyz-Nob-Torso-Bits-1-Bitz-S-/380308903704?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588c2d5718#ht_579wt_905

Pretty good seller. You could get ten nob torsos shipped for $12.80. He isn't horde of bitz, but he has like 30,000 positive feedback and like 4 negative.

I've actually bought three bike frames for 6.50 and then the fronts and handle bars for 1.25. It's the tires that always cost the moola, but if you can sculpt tires with some GS or a cheaper equivalent, that might be a good basis to start on.

And as everyone in heer is saying, the converted deffkopter-warbikes images in dakka are amazing and could be cost effective...

Remember, to laugh at an ork is kind of like laughing at a busload of handicapped kids who are murdering the bus driver...

And remember looting too - 'normal' tires (and complete bikes) can be looted by orks, with varying amounts of conversion work required. If you have a well-stocked bits box, have a rummage. From an ork perspective, a motorbike is just a thing you can sit on, has a motor and two wheels - they're not too fussed beyond that. Or even forget the wheels, add some antigrav bits and make hoverbikes (hmm, that would seem a very easy kopta conversion)

I second the above boar idea too - making a boar look cyboar-ish is pretty easy.

I think you might want to diversify their weapons a little more. Ideally no two Nobz should have the same wargear.

why do you want to know? huh? HUH?

This is the perfect forum for me. The other day one of my friends came in with his APOC waaagh on wheelz. He used balsa wood plasticard and wires to make and convert every omdel in his army on wheels. Even the scratchbuild stompa had it's feet made from wheels. The mega nobz had their legs replaced with wheels. But he used lots of old parts for his conversion. So seriosly if you don't want to buy heeps of biker kits go for the scratchbuild models

The Ork Trukk seems like a good source of vehicle parts, plating and wheels, and it's rather cheap too.
