Im unsure about this, but if I use glittering scales with chaos armour, do I keep the +4 armour save or is it superseded by the light armour rule on the scales?

-2 to hit with MoNurgle and a WS of 7 (exalted BSB) would make most things hit on 6s.

You can't wear multiple suits of body armor, so wearing the glittering scales would mean you couldn't wear your chaos armor.

Ok thanks for clearing that up. You think its worth the risk? losing 2 AS for hits on 6s. I mean anything wanting to attack you is going to do so tooled up i.e S5+ anyway, so im thinking armour isnt as useful.

Im planning on going on foot in a unit anyway.

Considering that the greatest threat to a BSB is a challenge or magic, i'd invest in a good ward save instead of armour or not being hit. A WS of 7 won't help against magic or a challenger with WS6 or greater in this circumstance.

A ward save would help against most attacks, and since a good number of challengers would be tooled up heroes and lords, it'd be my best bet.

It isnt -2 to hit; its -1 WS from the MoN now (due to errata)

Was just reading the rulebook FAQ and on the bottom on the 5th page, it say armour saves can be combined.

"Q: When a model has multiple pieces of armour are the armour
saves always combined?(p43)
A: Yes."

Looks like glittering scales combined with chaos armour will grant me a 3+ save eh

Nope.
They mean you combine armor saves, with shield saves, with a magic helm, being mounted, and barding.
Magic armor replaced non-magic armor.

Sorry dude. You'll just have to be satisfied that your characters (wizards included) can wear the best armour in the game.
