To make easier: I have a few basilisk chassis but I do not have the actual cannon for it, is there a way that I can convert this to a chimera?

well could we get a pic, i don't own a chimera but i would like to see what your talking about as the way you described it makes no sense to me.

i agree pics of the said item would help emourously but from your descrption it sounds like you could use plastic card and knowldge from a master convertor

I read the question twice and I have no idea what you're trying to ask...

Let me just make it simple while I try and upload, it is a basilisk chassis. But it does not have the cannon! Just the hull. So what should I put there?

Te correct question would be: what do you need in your army? With plasticard and time, you can make anything from a chimera to a deathstrike, but we need to know what you'll be using it for.

Have an opened back CHimera?
Could work, would look like a salamnder, but you need access to a turret.

You can build any Imperial artillery vehicle out of it as it is. If you want a Chimera you are missing a small piece that extends the lower hull, the rear door, the upper hull, the turret, and the guns.
You could easily add a piece of 3/4 inch plastic tubing (plumbing stuff) and make a siege mortar, or get an Aegis defence line quad autocannon and make it a Hydra.

What I would like is a chimera out of the chassis!, that cannon would be nice, but I do not live in the United Kingdom!

I'd look around on bits sites to find a new top for the Chimera, or a new Basilisk gun. Just searching "basilisk 40k" on eBay netted me a bunch of results just selling the gunners platform or gun shield.

Well I do not really need 4 basilisk personally I would like chimeras maybe I will search for that! Thanks for taking the time to do that though.

Seems like it'd be pretty easy to just close over the open top with plastic card and find a replacement turret of some kind. It wouldn't be quite as tall as a standard Chimera, but it'd look fine. If you put an add up looking for a tank turret, I'm sure someone would have an extra russ or Chimera turret lying around.

I have a similar situation as you, I've got three Basilisks that I've assembled with removable gun decks, I'm now trying to figure out how to make a second set of decks with manticore or Hydra turrets.

If you want them, I might even have a set of the 6 lasgun barrels that stick out of a Chimera, send me a PM and I'll look around.

Don't try to make a chimera... go for a Manticore or a Hydra.

I made a command chimera out of my death strike. Random bits and plastic card.
"The chimera with the dozer blade is actually a deathstrike with a removable missile / armored cover. Using it as a HQ personal chimera for now."


and the turret for the inquisitors chimera is random bits and plastic card.
